12/31 - Theft $2,500 to $30,000 - 1400 block of Sonoma Drive: At 2:47 p.m.
an officer observed a trailer parked on the wrong side of the road in a residential
area. A computer check of the license plate revealed the trailer was reported
stolen out of Denton. Officers observed a Ford truck across the street and
decided to check it for stolen as well. The vehicle was clear but an adult male
was asleep in the back seat. The male denied knowing anything about the trailer
but a family member who arrived on scene confirmed that the male had used the
Ford truck to tow the trailer to the location several days earlier. The truck
and trailer were both impounded and the driver arrested for outstanding
warrants as well as the stolen vehicle. During an inventory of the truck
officers found methamphetamine in the passenger compartment. The male was
transported to jail for booking.
12/26 - Burglary - 300 block of Spring Branch Lane: A victim reported to
police that her home had been burglarized while the family was out. Person(s)
unknown entered the residence through a bedroom window and removed electronics,
shoes, and a rifle. Total value of all items was estimated at $550.00.
12/26 - Assault Bodily Injury (Family Violence) - 4400 block of Danny
Drive: At 8:55 a.m. officers responded to a report of a domestic assault. A
female reported that she had been abused by her live-in boyfriend for the past
several days. She was treated at the scene by paramedics and transported to JPS
Hospital for treatment. The boyfriend was not on scene at the time of the report.
12/29 - Aggravated Assault w/ Deadly Weapon – 300 block of W. Kennedale
Parkway: At 1:54 p.m. a male reported to police that during a road rage
altercation earlier in the month he had been struck in the elbow by a suspect
using a baseball bat. The male stated that his elbow was fractured but was not
in any type of immobilizing device.
