1/29 - Driving While
Intoxicated - 900 block of N. Little School Road: At 2:34 a.m. an officerstopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. The driver, a 57 year old male,
smelled of an alcoholic beverage but denied having anything to drink. Thedriver was unable to successfully complete a field sobriety assessment,
becoming aggressive toward the officer. The driver was placed under arrest forDWI and transported to jail for booking. The suspect first agreed to give a
blood sample but then refused. A warrant was obtained and blood drawn by jailmedical staff. The suspect was booked in without incident.

 

2/1 - Forgery - 1100 block of
Colbi Street: At 9:02 a.m. a victim reported to police that person(s) unknown forgeda check on his bank account and withdrew several hundred dollars.

 

2/2 - Possession Drug
Paraphernalia - 1200 block of W. Kennedale Parkway: At 12:34 a.m. an officerstopped a vehicle for an equipment violation. Upon approaching the vehicle, the
officer smelled the odor of burned marijuana. When asked about the odor thedriver stated that he and a friend had recently smoked in the vehicle but there
was nothing in it now. As the driver reached in the glove box for hisinsurance, the officer observed a marijuana grinder. The officer also observed
a dictionary lying in the floorboard that was actually an unlocked lock boxcontaining marijuana pipes and other paraphernalia. The driver was cited and
released. The contraband was seized and placed in evidence.

 

2/4 - Application for MentalDetention & Observation - 200 block of Sulphur Street: At 4:49 p.m.
officers responded to a report of a group home resident becoming upset andwalking away from his caregivers. The subject was located walking several
blocks away at Kennedale Parkway and Corry A. Edwards Drive. The subject, knownto officers from numerous prior calls, had a piece of steel rebar held to his
chest and was threatening to harm himself. Officers were able to calm him downenough to drop the rebar but he again became agitated when talking about why he
left the home. He was then handcuffed and transported to JPS Hospital for anemergency mental detention.  

 

2/2 – Theft $2,500 to $30,000
- 300 block of S. New Hope Road: A victim reported to police that her 2013model travel trailer was stolen. The trailer was parked in the rear of her
property behind her home. The trailer was valued at $27,000.00.

 

2/3 - Application for MentalDetention & Observation - 6800 block of Oak Crest Drive W.: At 3:00 a.m., while
investigating a complaint, an officer encountered a 29 year old female. Thefemale walked up to the officer and was speaking incoherently. It was unknown
if the female was having a mental episode or if the behavior was due to the ingestionof narcotics. She was transported to JPS Hospital for an emergency detention
and evaluation.

 

2/3 - Aggravated Sexual Assaultof Child - 300 block of Spring Branch Lane: At 2:08 p.m. a representative from
Alliance for Children contacted a detective to report a CPS complaint of achild sexual assault. The victim, a 9 year old female, was allegedly assaulted
by a juvenile family member. The offense took place at a residence in Kennedalebut victim is unsure of the date. An interview will be conducted with the
victim as soon as the family responds to a CPS request.
