3/19 - Assault Bodily Injury (Family Violence) - 700 block of Woodland Court: At 9:42 a.m. officers responded to a domestic disturbance. A male and female were arguing over the male’s lost wallet. The female advised that during the argument the male had slapped her with an open hand. The female had no injuries consistent with the assault and refused to write a statement. The male stated that he did not assault the female. Both parties exhibited aggressive behavior while officers were present. Because the assault could not be proven no charges were filed. The male had multiple arrest warrants from three cities and was placed under arrest. He was transported to jail for booking.

 

3/20 - Possession Drug Paraphernalia - 500 block of W. Kennedale Parkway: At 12:34 a.m. an officer stopped a vehicle for an equipment violation. The male driver and his female passenger were both interviewed due to a strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. During the interview the driver was found to be in possession of various pieces of paraphernalia used to package and distribute marijuana. He also had an arrest warrant issued from Fort Worth. He was arrested and transported to jail for booking on the warrant. He was cited for the paraphernalia.

 

3/20 - Possession of Marijuana - 200 block of Arthur Drive: At 2:53 a.m. officers stopped two suspicious males on investigation of attempted vehicle burglary. A complainant had called to say that the males attempted to enter his vehicle. One of the males was found to be in possession of marijuana and related paraphernalia. Because the male was a juvenile he was released to the custody of his mother. The mother stated that her son was already on probation for vehicle burglary. Charges will be referred to the juvenile justice center.

 

3/20 - Abandoned Vehicle - 900 block of N. Little School Road: Officers were dispatched to an abandoned vehicle in a traffic lane. A complainant reported that two occupants had been driving the vehicle, a 1991 Chevrolet truck, when they suddenly stopped in the road and ran away on foot. While officers were out with the truck the occupants were spotted some distance away but fled again when officers called out to them. The vehicle was impounded for safekeeping and the owner contacted.

 

3/20 - Theft - $2,500 to $30,000 - 1400 of block Sonoma Drive: At 1:20 p.m. a victim called to report that his 2005 Ford truck was stolen. He stated that the unlocked truck was parked at the curb and the keys were in the ignition. During the interview an Auto Theft Task Force detective arrived with a theft warrant for the reporting person’s arrest. It was determined that the truck was repossessed. The reporting person was transported to jail for booking on the warrant.

 

3/23 - Found Property - 5600 block of E. IH 20: At 11:25 a.m. an officer was handed a wallet that had been found on the service road to I-20. The wallet contained a valid Texas driver license as well as cash and credit cards. Attempts to contact the person on the license were unsuccessful. The wallet and contents were placed in property for safe keeping.

 

3/23 - Burglary - 800 block of E. Kennedale Parkway: At 1:45 p.m. a victim reported that his storage unit was burglarized.

 

3/23 - Assault by Contact - 800 block of Trent Street: At 4:24 p.m. officers responded to an assault complaint. An adult female complained that her boyfriend had slapped her on the forehead and had left the property. The victim had no injuries and stated that she felt no pain from the assault. The boyfriend was later found after creating a disturbance at a nearby store. He was arrested on an outstanding warrant from Fort Worth for Assault against the Elderly. He was transported to jail for booking.

 

3/24 - Burglary - 1000 block of Estates Drive: At 1:56 p.m. a victim reported that unknown person(s) had forced open his front door and entered the home without permission. Suspect(s) took cash and property. Damage to the door was estimated at $400.00.

 

3/24 - Abandoned Vehicle - 5800 block of Everman Kennedale Road: At 7:50 p.m. an officer responded to a report of an abandoned vehicle. The 2000 Dodge truck was left unattended in the traffic lane. The vehicle was impounded for safekeeping.
