3/28 - Assault by Threat - 900 block of Corry A. Edwards Drive: At 12:30
p.m. a school resource officer received a report of an assault by threat at aschool. A substitute teacher was reported to have threatened a student while in
class. Statements were taken and forwarded to detectives for further review andaction.

 

3/26 - Incident - 400 block of North Road: At 1:58 p.m. officers responded
to a report of multiple gun shots fired in the area of 500 North Road. Severalwitnesses described a pickup truck and a sedan in the area at the time of the
shots. A search of the area along the roadway turned up a single 9mm shellcasing. The truck was located at a nearby residence. Officers observed spent
casings in the bed, one of which matched the one found on the side of the road.The driver denied owning or firing a gun and stated that the truck was his
father’s. The father was contacted and discovered to be very intoxicated aswell as uncooperative. He denied owning or firing a gun as well.

 

3/27 - Missing Person - 500 block of North Road: At 12:41 a.m. a mother
reported her 16 year old son as a runaway. The juvenile was ordered by courtauthorities to check into a drug rehab facility in Dallas and he did not want
to go. He was entered into a national database as a runaway.

 

3/27 - Burglary - 100 block of E. Kennedale Parkway: At 3:47 a.m., officersresponded to a report of a burglar alarm with glass breakage. The first officer
on scene observed a male run from the building, which is a convenience store.The officer gave chase on foot until the suspect got into a waiting vehicle and
fled west on Kennedale Parkway. A second responding officer observed thevehicle and attempted to stop it in the 1200 block of High Ridge Street. Two
male suspects jumped from the vehicle and fled on foot. One of the suspects waslocated on the roof of a nearby building. The second suspect was not located
but officers were able to obtain a possible identification for a warrant. Thesuspect’s vehicle contained property identified as being taken from the store.
The property was returned to the owner of the business. A video of the offensewas obtained from the store’s security camera system. The suspect was
transported to jail for booking. He was charged with burglary and fleeing in avehicle. No bail had been set.

 

3/27 - Theft of Material ALUM/BRNZ/COPPER/BRASS < 30K - 400 block of W.
Kennedale Parkway: At 7:00 a.m. a business owner reported that person(s) unknownremoved copper wiring from the building, leaving it without power. The value of
the wire was listed at $4,500.00.

 

3/27 - Theft $2,500 to $30,000 - 200 block of W. Kennedale Parkway: At10:39 a.m. a business owner reported that a former employee had forged two
checks issued to the business by customers. The business is checking to see ifthere are other forgeries that haven’t been uncovered.

 

3/27 - Forgery - 1000 block of
Colonial Court: At 3:24 p.m. an officer received a report of a check forgery. Abusiness owner reported that several checks were written on his business account
number but with different payer information. The case is being investigated bydetectives.

 

3/29 - Application for Mental Detention and Observation - 900 block of
Harrison Drive: At 1:06 a.m. officers responded to a report of a personthreatening to shoot himself with a rifle. On arrival the 20 year old male was
located but did not have the rifle with him. The threats arose out of anargument the male had with his wife over a previous relationship she had been
involved in. The wife reported that he had tried to jump from the car whiledriving on the freeway. The male was transported to JPS Hospital for
observation when he said that he needed to speak to someone about the threats.

 

3/30 - Theft $2,500 to $30,000 - 4000 block of S. Eden Road: At 1:41 p.m. avictim reported that his Open Road travel trailer was taken. No value was
given. The trailer was stored at the location.

 

3/31 - Possession Dangerous Drug - 4900 block of Little Road: At 2:19 a.m.an officer stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. The two female occupants
were interviewed about the smell of marijuana coming from inside the vehicle.The passenger had an arrest warrant issued out of Arlington. The driver was
found to be in possession of marijuana. Both were arrested and prepared fortransport to jail. The driver asked an officer to get money from her wallet.
The officer retrieved the money and began to count in front of the arresteewhen he found a bag of Xanax with the money. The female was also charged with
possession of that narcotic as well. All contraband was placed in evidenceafter field testing.

 

3/31 - Terroristic Threat - 900 block of Corry A. Edwards Drive: At 8:10
a.m. a juvenile student at the high school threw an inert hand grenade into acrowded locker room, causing panic as the students ran out. A school resource
officer responded and interviewed the student, who was detained by faculty. Thestudent admitted to throwing the grenade as a joke. He will be charged with
terroristic threat through the juvenile justice center.

 

3/31 - Burglary of Vehicle - 100 block of W. Kennedale Parkway: At 5:04p.m. a victim reported that he cashed his paycheck at his bank in Arlington and
placed the cash in the glove box of his Chevrolet truck. The victim then droveto Dollar General and went inside. The victim stated that person(s) unknown entered
his vehicle and removed the cash. The victim believes that a suspect may havebeen following him from the bank.

 

4/1 - Evading Arrest or Detention
(Vehicle) - 7000 block of E. Kennedale Parkway: At 1:51 a.m. an officerresponded to a suspicious person complaint. The vehicle was observed traveling
at a high rate of speed toward Eden Road. The vehicle, a white PT Cruiser, leftthe road and then drove back onto the pavement. The driver refused to stop
until he entered the Mansfield city limits. The vehicle had blown a tire andwas being driven on the metal rim. Upon stopping, the driver was handcuffed and
gave several different names. The vehicle belonged to his brother. During theinterview it was determined that the driver had ingested a rock of crack
cocaine and was in medical distress. He was released to medics for transport tothe hospital. A warrant will be issued later.

 

4/1 – Theft by Check - 300
block of W. Kennedale Parkway: At 11:30 a.m. a victim reported that a stolencheck had been passed by a possible known suspect. The check was stolen from a
batch belonging to an Arlington business. The suspect is observed on securityvideo passing the check.

 

4/1 - Burglary of Vehicle - 1500
block of Diamond Creek Lane: At 4:54 p.m. a victim reported that her unlockedvehicle was entered by person(s) unknown, who then gained access to the trunk.
The victim reported that her husband’s $1200.00 set of golf clubs were taken.
