On April 9, 2017, at 8:57 p.m., officers responded to a report of an armed robbery at Burger King in the 1200 block of W. Kennedale Parkway. A male suspect entered the store and asked to speak to the manager. The suspect then displayed a firearm to the manager and demanded money. After being given the money the suspect left the store in an unknown direction.
Subsequent investigation led investigators to believe that the suspect, a 26 year old male, was involved in a series of robberies in the Fort Worth area. On May 3rd investigators learned that the suspect was in custody for several of those robberies. On May 4th he was interviewed at the Tarrant County jail by a Kennedale investigator. Subsequent to that interview the suspect admitted to robbing the Burger King and gave information specific to that offense. He will be charged with the robbery offense through the Tarrant County District Attorney’s Office.
