5/14 - Possession Control Substance - 500 block of Dick Price Road: At 1:12 a.m. an officer stopped a vehicle for erratic driving. During the interview the male driver appeared to be intoxicated and having trouble walking. The driver was also found to be in possession of marijuana. He was transported to jail for a voluntary blood draw, and was booked in for the narcotics and DWI.

 

5/15 - Possession Control Substance - 1300 block of W. Kennedale Parkway: At 11:20 p.m. an officer stopped a vehicle for erratic driving and a traffic violation. The male driver had a child in a safety seat in the back of the vehicle. During the interview the driver appeared to be intoxicated. The driver state that he had smoked marijuana about 20 minutes prior to being stopped. The child’s mother was contacted and responded to get the child. Officers also located Oxycodone and Xanax in the vehicle. He did not have a prescription for either. The driver was transported to jail for a voluntary blood draw, and was booked in for the narcotics and DWI.

 

5/15 - Application for Mental Detention and Observation - 400 block of Municipal Drive: At 10:56 a.m. a female walked into the police department and asked for assistance. The female stated that she was having suicidal thoughts and needed help. She was transported to JPS Hospital for an emergency detention and evaluation.

 

5/16 - Theft $750 to $2,500 - 200 block of W. Kennedale Parkway: At 1:40 p.m. a victim reported that his cell phone was taken while he ate lunch at a restaurant in Kennedale. The phone was an Apple IPhone 6.

 

5/17 - Forgery - 1200 block of Leanne Court: At 5:56 p.m. a victim reported that person(s) unknown opened an unauthorized on-line account in his name. The account was through PayPal.

 

5/18 - Incident - 900 block of Wildcat Way: At 8:00 a.m. a school resource officer was assigned a complaint tip regarding child pornography on a school district computer assigned to a student. The student stated that he had loaned the device to another student in a class but didn’t know the student’s name. When he got the device back it contained a photo of an unknown female exposing herself. Investigation of the photo revealed that the person depicted appeared to be a married adult female. The photo was deleted.

 

5/18 - Application for Mental Detention and Observation - 400 block of Linda Road: At 9:56 a.m. officers responded to a welfare check requested by an MHMR employee. The check was for an adult female who was possibly suicidal. The female was located at the address given and stated that she was threatening to harm herself. She was transported to JPS Hospital for an emergency detention and evaluation.

 

5/18 - Forgery - 300 block of W. Kennedale Parkway: At 11:56 a.m. an officer responded to a report of forged checks being passed at a business. A female passed three forged checks over several days before being denied on the fourth attempt. The female left and took the check with her.

 

5/19 - Sexual Assault of a Child - 400 block of Mansfield Cardinal Road: At 11:00 p.m. officers responded to a suspicious vehicle call. A vehicle was parked in the driveway of a residence but did not belong there. During the investigation a 26 year old male was located in the home with a 14 year female resident. The female admitted to officers that she and the male had sexual contact earlier in the evening as well as on a previous occasion. The male was taken into custody for child sexual assault and transported to jail for booking. The victim was transported to Cook’s Childrens Hospital for a sexual assault exam.

 

5/20 - Burglary - 100 block of E. Mistletoe Drive: At 5:59 p.m. officers responded to a fire alarm at a school. It was discovered that unknown person(s) had ransacked several offices and discharged a number of fire extinguishers. No fire was observed. A review of the security video showed several suspects who were later located in the neighborhood. The suspects were identified and released to parents. Charges will be filed with the Juvenile Justice Center.
