6/18 - Driving While Intoxicated - 100 block of Mansfield Avenue: At 2:58
a.m. an officer observed a vehicle stopped in a roadway. Upon contacting the
male driver, the officer observed that the driver appeared intoxicated. The
suspect was unable to successfully complete a field sobriety assessment and was
placed under arrest for DWI. He was transported to jail where he voluntarily
provided a blood sample. He was booked in without incident.
6/18 - Reckless Damage and Destruction - 1200 block of W. Kennedale
Parkway: At 1:05 p.m. a victim reported to police that her vehicle, a silver
Honda SUV, was parked in a space at a business. The victim’s passenger door was
struck by the driver’s door of a vehicle that pulled into the next parking
space. The male driver/suspect went into the business and upon exiting was
confronted by the victim and a friend. The suspect refused to give any
information and left in the vehicle. Investigators are following up.
6/19 - Driving While Intoxicated - 700 block of W. Kennedale Parkway: At
2:40 a.m. an officer stopped a vehicle for speeding. The male driver appeared
to be intoxicated and was unable to successfully complete a field sobriety
assessment. Several containers of beer were found in the vehicle along with an
open container of hard liquor. The male was arrested for DWI and was
transported to jail for booking. He refused to provide a breath or blood
sample.
6/20 - Abandoned/ Found Property - 5300 block of Mansfield Highway: At 4:29
a.m. an officer responded to a location in Forest Hill for a warrant arrest. A
male had been stopped by Forest Hill police and was found to have Kennedale warrants.
The male was arrested and transported to jail for booking. His bicycle and
trailer along with multiple personal items were placed in property at Kennedale
P.D. for safekeeping.
6/20 - Assault Bodily Injury (Family Violence) - 700 block of Woodland
Court: At 8:47 p.m. officers responded to a domestic disturbance. A male and
female had gotten into an argument over personal possessions and the female
assaulted the male. She was arrested for family violence and was transported to
jail for booking.
6/21 - Theft $750 to $2,500 - 400 block of Municipal Drive: At 10:25 a.m. a
victim reported that his cell phone was taken while he was at a local
restaurant eating. The victim believes the phone may have been taken by a
homeless person who frequents the restaurant.
6/24 - Found Property - 400 block of Municipal Drive: At 4:33 p.m. a
citizen turned in three ladies purses found in the 600 block of Little School
Road. Two of the owners were contact and reclaimed the items. Both had been
stolen in vehicle burglaries in Arlington. The third could not be contacted and
the purse was placed in property for safe keeping.
