6/25 - Possession of Marijuana - 300 block of E. Kennedale Parkway: At
12:08 a.m. an officer stopped a vehicle for an equipment violation. During the
interview, the male driver was found to have an active warrant out of Arlington
and was also in possession of marijuana. The driver was arrested and
transported to jail for booking.
6/25 - Theft $2,500 to $30,000 - 100 block of Spiller Street: At 10:22 a.m.
a victim reported that her 2015 Honda Civic was stolen from her driveway. The
victim believed that the vehicle may have been taken by the same people who
stole her roommate’s purse earlier in the month. The purse had been placed on
the vehicle trunk while getting gas and was taken by unknown person(s). A set
of spare keys to the car were in the purse.
6/25 - Criminal Trespass - 100 block of N. Joplin Road: At 9:37 p.m.
officers responded to a disturbance. Three females were present at the residence.
One of the three, a 26 year old, is daughter and grand-daughter to the other
two and is not a resident of the house. The 26 year old suspect was not
supposed to be at the residence as she has a restraining order against her and
has lost custody of her children to the mother and grandmother. The suspect was
given a criminal trespass warning on a previous attempt to enter the home and
it was still in effect. She was arrested and transported to jail for booking.
6/27 - Burglary - 100 block of E. Kennedale Parkway: At 1:40 a.m. officers
responded to a burglar alarm at a business. On arrival, officers discovered
that person(s) unknown had removed the cash drawer for the register. Nothing
else appeared to be missing.
6/27 - Recover Stolen Vehicle - 5400 block of High Ridge Road: At 10:47
a.m. an officer observed a forklift parked in a vacant lot. The forklift identification
number did not show it to be stolen. The officer contacted the manufacturer by
telephone to see if an owner could be identified. A roofing company in Fort
Worth was shown to be the owner and was contacted. The company representative
stated that the forklift had been stolen 10 days earlier but they had not been
able to get Fort Worth police out to make a stolen vehicle report yet. The company
rep responded and reclaimed the vehicle.
6/26 - Assault Bodily Injury (Family Violence) - 100 block of Oakwood Lane:
At 12:48 a.m. officers responded to a domestic disturbance. A male and female
had been arguing while driving home and the male had physically grabbed the
female, causing her pain. The argument continued at home with the male further
attempting to assault the female. Officers placed the male under arrest and
transported him to jail for booking.
7/01 - Application for Mental
Detention and Observation - 500 block of North Road: At 2:54 a.m. officers responded
to an emotionally disturbed person. A male caller stated that his friend, a 33
year old female, had been drinking and started cutting her arm with a utility
knife. Officers found the female on foot a short distance away. The female had
several cuts to her forearm, including one that appeared to require stitches.
Medics responded to treat the female, who was uncooperative. The female was
taken into custody and transported to JPS Hospital for treatment of the wounds
and then was admitted for an emergency mental detention and observation.
7/01 - Assault Bodily Injury
- 6700 block of Hudson Village Creek Road: At 7:44 p.m. officers responded to
an assault call at Kennedale Speedway Park. Two male drivers had gotten into an
altercation after a race. One of the drivers struck the other in the face and a
fight ensued. After bystanders stopped the fight, officers were called and arrived
to investigate. The suspect was transported from the scene by medics for
treatment at a local hospital. An arrest warrant will be issued later.
