7/2 - Fraud Use/ Possession
of Identifying Info, Delivery of a Controlled Substance - 1100 block of W.
Kennedale Parkway: At 3:06 a.m. an officer stopped a vehicle for a traffic
violation. The vehicle was occupied by two adult females. The passenger stated
that the vehicle belonged to her mother. During the interview and a subsequent
consent search, the passenger was found to be in possession of methamphetamine
as well as several credit cards and other identifying information for several
individuals, none of them hers (the passenger’s). The suspect also had multiple
cell phones that appeared to be used for narcotics sales and delivery. The
phones were seized and placed in evidence with the other contraband. The
passenger was arrested and the driver was released at the scene as the
passenger stated the contraband was hers.
7/3 - Assault Bodily Injury (Family
Violence) - 600 block of S. Dick Price Road: At 12:26 p.m. a victim reported to
officers that she had been assaulted by her husband. The victim stated that the
suspect and she were arguing while driving on Dick Price Road when the suspect
became angry and slammed her face into the dash board, cutting her nose. The
suspect then jumped from the car and fled but was located and detained by
officers. The suspect was arrested for the assault and transported to jail for
booking.
7/3 - Possession of Controlled
Substance - 700 block of E. Kennedale Parkway: At 4:01 p.m. an officer stopped
a vehicle for a traffic violation. The adult female driver was found to have
active arrest warrants from multiple cities. She was placed under arrest for the
warrants. During an inventory of the vehicle, the suspect’s purse was located
and she was found to be in possession of marijuana and several prescription
medications for which she did not have a prescription. She was charged with the
narcotics as well and transported to jail for booking.
7/5 - Abandoned/ Found
Property - 200 block of Village Street: At 6:40 p.m. an officer found a cash
register till thrown into a brushy area next to a dumpster. A check of the
serial number was inconclusive. The till was placed in property until an owner
can be identified.
7/5 - Assault by Contact - 800
block of W. Kennedale Parkway: At 9:42 p.m. officers responded to a
disturbance. A homeless female, who appeared to be intoxicated on a narcotic of
some type, reported that her boyfriend had assaulted her for no reason. She
stated that she was choked and slapped several times but had no visible
injuries to indicate the assault. Her boyfriend, also homeless, was located on
a bicycle a short distance away. Both subjects are known to officers from past
incidents. The male stated that he was asleep when the female entered his tent
and began to assault him for moving her property around. The male stated that
the female had been on a three day binge using “ice” and was still under the influence.
The female, who has a history of assaulting the male, was issued a citation for
assault by contact.
7/6 - Animal Bite - 6700
block of Oak Crest Dr. East: At 8:30 p.m. a victim reported that two small dogs
had run into the street and bit her foot while she was walking. The owner was
located and stated that the dogs were on the porch while he was outside. He was
issued citations for the dog violations and ordered to quarantine the animals.
