7/23 - Public Intoxication - 700 block of Woodland Court: At 3:20 a.m.
officers responded to a disturbance. An adult male suspect was observed
attempting to leave in a vehicle. The suspect was removed from the vehicle,
which he did not have keys for. The suspect appeared to be very intoxicated.
Two adult females and another adult male were on scene and stated that the male
had been driven to the location by one of the females. The suspect had become
agitated and damaged the female’s vehicle with his fist. The suspect had arrest
warrants from Bedford and Arlington in addition to being intoxicated. He was
arrested for all charges and transported to jail for booking.
7/24 - Reckless Damage or Destruction - 1300 block of W. Kennedale Parkway:
At 11:30 a.m. an officer responded to a vehicle damage call. A motorist
reported that his vehicle was struck and dented by a rock that was thrown from
a mower on private property next to the highway. The male who was operating the
mower was contacted and stated that he would pay for the damage.
7/27 - Abandoned/ Found Property - 100 block of Short Street: At 1:21 p.m.
the manager of a local business brought in a driver’s license that was left in
her business. The license was left by a customer who never returned to claim
it. The license was taken for safe keeping until the owner can be contacted.
7/28 - Burglary - 1000 block of Ohio Court: At 9:30 a.m. a victim contacted
police to report that his home had been burglarized. Person(s) unknown entered
the home and removed jewelry and electronics without the victim’s consent.
7/28 - Driving While Intoxicated - 100 block of N. Little School Road: At
4:49 p.m. an officer stopped a vehicle for speeding and erratic driving. The
adult male driver appeared to be intoxicated and was unable to successfully
complete a field sobriety test. The adult male passenger was also intoxicated
but had called his sister-in-law to pick him up while officers were dealing with
the driver. The female arrived and took possession of the vehicle and passenger.
The driver was transported to jail for a breath test. The results were positive
for intoxication. He was booked into jail without incident.
7/29 - Possession Drug Paraphernalia - 100 block of W. Kennedale Parkway:
At 1:10 p.m. an officer stopped a vehicle for running a stop sign. The driver
displayed an invalid Arkansas driver’s license. The vehicle smelled of
marijuana and the officer found several items of paraphernalia used to process
and smoke the drug. He was cited for the paraphernalia and released.
7/30 - Evading Arrest or Detention (Vehicle) - 7100 block of Hudson Village
Creek Road: At 3:54 a.m. an officer observed a vehicle in the parking lot of a
closed auto repair shop. When the officer pulled into the lot to investigate,
the vehicle left the scene at a high rate of speed. The vehicle at first was able
to elude officers but was located after several minutes at a mobile home in
unincorporated Tarrant County. A female was identified and stated she was the
passenger in the vehicle when it fled. She identified the driver verbally and
stated that he had told her he couldn’t go back to jail. It was later
discovered that the female had lied about the driver’s identity and she gave his
true name. He showed to have an active arrest warrant out of Johnson County for
bond forfeiture on a charge of Aggravated Assault on a Public Servant. The
driver had fled the scene before officers located the vehicle and passenger.
The female was arrested and transported to jail for booking.
7/30 - Abandoned/ Found Property - 200 block of W. Kennedale Parkway: At
10:05 a.m. a complainant brought a debit card to the police station. The card
was left in the ATM of a local back. It was placed in evidence for safe keeping
until the owner can be contacted.
