8/20 - Possession Drug Paraphernalia - 800 block of N. Dick Price Road: At
11:55 p.m. an officer stopped a vehicle for speeding. During the initial contact
with the driver the officer smelled a marijuana odor emanating from the
passenger compartment. Two of the occupants were found to be in possession of
narcotics paraphernalia. They were cited and released.
8/20 - Possession Drug Paraphernalia - 200 block of E. Kennedale Parkway:
At 7:34 p.m. an officer stopped a vehicle for erratic driving. Upon contacting
the driver, it was discovered that she had been trying to locate an item in the
vehicle while driving. The driver, an adult female, was found to have arrest
warrants out of Grand Prairie. She was also found to have narcotics
paraphernalia on her person. She was arrested and transported to jail for
booking.
8/21 - Evading Arrest or Detention w/ Vehicle - 100 block of Peachtree
Court: At 2:54 a.m. an officer attempted to stop a vehicle for an equipment violation.
The adult male driver of the vehicle, a silver Jeep Compass, attempted to evade
the officer for several minutes before turning down an alley. Once the vehicle
stopped, the driver was removed from the vehicle without incident. Due to an
incision from a recent surgery, the officer decided to delay making an arrest.
An out-of-custody warrant will be issued at a later date.
8/21 - Theft $100 to $750 - 6200 block of Century Drive: At 9:25 a.m. an
officer was approached by a male victim who stated he had interrupted a theft
at his home. A male suspect in a silver Dodge truck had been attempting to
wheel an air compressor from the victim’s property to the suspect truck when
the victim stopped him. The suspect then fled as the victim followed in a separate
vehicle. The suspect turned down a dirt road as the victim contacted the
officer, who was parked nearby. As the suspect re-entered the road he was
stopped and taken into custody. The suspect was transported to jail for booking.
8/21 - Vehicle Burglary - 700 block of Timberline Road: At 5:10 p.m. a
victim reported that his vehicle was burglarized and property taken.
8/22 - Application for Mental Detention and Observation - 900 block of Wildcat
Way: At 8:30 a.m. a school resource officer was contacted by a school staff member
about a student exhibiting mental distress. The student, a male, was making
threats to do self-harm and had cut himself. The student was transported to
Sundance Hospital for an emergency mental evaluation and detention.
8/23 - Theft Under $100 - 6300 block of Tealcove Drive: At 2:07 p.m. a victim
reported that unknown person(s) removed the license plate from her 2000 Ford
Mustang. The vehicle was parked in the parking area of the victim’s apartment
when the theft occurred.
8/24 - Theft $750 to $2,500 - 300 block of Arthur Drive: At 5:30 a.m. a
victim reported to police that person(s) unknown removed the rims and tires
from her vehicle. The items were valued at $2,300.00.
8/25 - Vehicle Burglary - 100 block of Industrial Drive: At 10:05 a.m. a
complainant reported to police that a customer’s car was burglarized on his
property. The vehicle was not locked and person(s) unknown entered to remove a
stereo and amplifier.
8/26 - Possession Marijuana - 500 block of E. Kennedale Parkway: At 12:17
a.m. an officer stopped a vehicle for an equipment violation. During an
interview with the two occupants, the driver was found to be in possession of
marijuana. He was arrested and transported to jail for booking.
8/26 - Criminal Trespass - 100 block of Oakwood Lane: At 6:01 p.m. officers
responded to a burglary call. A male was reported to be removing a window air
conditioner from a home. Officers observed a male sitting on the front porch
with the front door open. The male stated that he was friends with the resident
and had entered through the window where the air conditioner unit was installed
to help clean up from a party the night before. The home owner could not be
located to verify the story and the suspect was arrested for the trespass.
