10/8 - Fail to Report Accident - 100 block of W. Sublett Road: At 12:55 a.m. officers responded to a report of a crash involving a single vehicle. The vehicle, a Nissan Maxima, was in the roadway facing oncoming traffic. There were two witnesses on scene who reported seeing several males trying to push the vehicle out of the roadway. The males stated that they were uninjured but left in an uninvolved white vehicle when the witnesses called 911. The vehicle appeared to have left the roadway and struck a tree. Officers obtained evidence in the vehicle of the owner/operator. The vehicle was impounded to be held as evidence.
10/8 - Abandoned/Found Property - 6600 block of Lindale Road: At 7:39 p.m. an officer received a report of a found driver’s license. The license was found in a drainage ditch in front of a resident’s home. The owner was located and contacted. The license had been lost several weeks earlier and had already been replaced.
10/8 - Theft - 800 block of Whitley Court: At 7:30 p.m. a victim reported that he and his wife had returned from a trip and discovered that a handgun was missing from their home. The home had been left in the care of two family members. The handgun was entered into a national database as stolen.
10/9 - Possession of Drug Paraphernalia - 1000 block of W. Kennedale Parkway: At 8:03 p.m. an officer stopped a 2005 Honda for erratic driving. The adult female driver of the vehicle stated she was trying to find an address in her GPS, which caused her to weave in the traffic lane. The driver was discovered to have a no bond/Contempt of Court warrant from the Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office. The driver was arrested for the warrant and transported to jail for booking. During an inventory of the vehicle officers found paraphernalia used to smoke marijuana. The driver was also charged with possession of the paraphernalia.
10/10 - Assault by Contact - 700 block of Woodland Court: At 11:52 p.m. officers responded to a domestic disturbance. Two adult sisters were fighting over one owing the other money. During the argument one of the adult sisters assaulted the son of the other. The son was not seriously injured. The suspect was charged with assault by contact.
10/10 - Theft of Materials ALUM/BRNZ/COPPER/BRASS Under $30,000 - 1600 block of Montelena Avenue: At 8:31 a.m. a victim reported that person(s) unknown removed $400.00 in copper tubing from a house under construction. The tubing was taken from an A/C condenser.
10/10 - Aggravated Assault (Serious Bodily Injury) - 900 block of Wildcat Way: At 12:15 p.m. a school resource officer responded to an incident in the high school cafeteria. Two female students were in a confrontation when one of the students struck the other, knocking her to the floor. The student who was struck suffered a concussion and other injuries when she fell. Due to the severity of the injuries, the suspect student will be charged with Aggravated Assault (Serious Bodily Injury) through the Juvenile Justice Center.
10/11 - Credit/Debit Card Abuse - 800 block of Mansfield Cardinal Road: At 10:15 a.m. a victim reported that an unknown person attempted to make several charges on her debit card. The victim was able to name a suspect who works for an out of state organization. The charges were caught early and the victim was reimbursed by her bank.
10/12 - Credit/Debit Card Abuse - 300 block of Autumnwood Court: At 8:31 a.m. a victim reported that an unknown person used her information to open a credit card at a home improvement store. The suspect charged several thousand dollars in merchandise to the account. The victim has no idea who opened the account or made the purchases on it. The account has been cancelled.
10/12 – Fraudulent Use/ Possession of Identifying Information - 300 block of Spring Branch Lane: At 8:36 a.m. a victim reported to police that an unknown person used her information to open an account at a music store. The suspect purchased several thousand dollars in electronics but did not pay the bill. A possible suspect was located using the information on the account paperwork sent to the victim by a collection agent.
10/12 - Assault (Bodily Injury) - 400 block of Municipal Drive: At 11:56 a.m. officers responded to a domestic disturbance on the police department parking lot. Before officers could arrive on scene the participants left and drove to the four-way stop at W. 3rd Street and Municipal Drive. A female in one car had observed her boyfriend getting into the second car with another female. The two were leaving the second female’s residence in Kennedale. The two drove to the police department to ask for an officer when the other female approached and began to argue with the two. The suspect female struck the other female while she was still in the vehicle with the male. The suspect female was arrested for the assault and transported to jail for booking.
10/12 – Vehicle Burglary - 1000 block of Bowman Springs Road: At 6:17 p.m. a victim reported that her company van was missing the catalytic convertor. The part was removed without her consent sometime during the previous two days. The vehicle was a 1997 Ford van.
10/13 - Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle - 5800 block of E IH 20: At 11:43 p.m. an officer observed a 2007 Honda Civic being driven on the access road of IH 20. A license check of the vehicle showed it to be stolen out of Hurst. The vehicle was stopped and the adult male driver was arrested for the unauthorized use of the vehicle. The driver was also arrested for a warrant out of Grand Prairie. He was transported to jail for booking. The vehicle was impounded to be held for the owner.
10/13 – Theft $2,500 to $30,000 - 5800 block of IH 20: At 12:30 p.m. a victim reported that his aluminum boat trailer was stolen. It was valued at $5000.00.
10/13 - Forgery - 200 block of W. Kennedale Parkway: At 4:25 p.m. officers responded to a report of a forgery at a local bank. An adult male was attempting to pass a forged check that was drawn on a frozen account. The male was arrested and transported to jail for booking.
10/14 - Assault (Bodily Injury) (Family Violence) - 700 block of Woodland Court: At 12:04 a.m. officers responded to a domestic disturbance. A male and female had gotten into an argument and the male assaulted the female, causing visible injury. The male was arrested and transported to jail for booking.
10/14 - Incident - 200 block of S. New Hope Road: At 11:15 p.m. officers responded to a shooting incident. A victim reported that a vehicle had pulled into her driveway and turned around. As the vehicle left the property the male driver fired two shots from a handgun into the air. The vehicle left the area before officers could arrive.
