10/15 - Application for
Mental Detention and Observation - 100 block of N. Dick Price Road: At 8:34
a.m. officers responded to a report of an adult female standing in the roadway and
acting erratically. The female was located and appeared to be in physical and
mental distress. She was unable to coherently answer questions posed by the
officers. The female was taken into custody and transported to JPS Hospital for
an emergency mental detention and evaluation.
10/16 – Theft Under $100 - 300
block of Arthur Drive: At 10:03 p.m. an officer responded to a theft report. A
bicycle was stolen between the hours of 7:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. from in front
of a residence. The bike was not secured.
10/16 - Forgery - 200 block of
W. Kennedale Parkway: At 7:41 p.m. a business owner reported that a male came
into the business and paid for items using a counterfeit $100 bill. The suspect
was described to police and left the business on foot walking toward a
residential area.
10/16 – Theft $30,000 to $150,000
- 4300 block of S. Eden Road: At 7:51 p.m. a victim reported that in April of
2017 his 1961 Corvette was left with a mechanic to do engine work. The victim paid
half of the money up front. The work was to be completed in one month. The work
has not been completed and the mechanic refuses to return the car. The case has
been forwarded to the Auto Theft Task Force.
10/17 – Theft $2,500 to $30,000
- 600 block of W. Kennedale Parkway: At 10:44 a.m. a victim reported that his
2006 Dodge Ram truck was stolen from a relative’s residence. The vehicle was
valued at $12,000 and contained several thousand dollars in tools. The case has
been forwarded to the Auto Theft Task Force.
10/17 - Forgery - 100 block of
W. Kennedale Parkway: At 12:16 p.m. an officer responded to a complaint of a
female passing a counterfeit $100 bill. The female was still on scene and
stated that she had received the bill from a friend. The female was arrested
and transported to jail for booking. During the process she was found to have a
small container of methamphetamine in her undergarments. She was charged with
the narcotics as well.
10/18 - Abandoned/ Found
Property - 400 block of Municipal Drive: At 11:00 p.m. an officer located two
debits cards left in a police vehicle. The cards were placed in property until the
owner(s) can be located.
10/18 – Stalking – 1100 block
of Greenview Lane: At 6:58 p.m. an adult female victim reported to police that
she is being stalked by an ex-boyfriend. The relationship ended in April of
this year but the suspect still drives by the home, calls numerous times daily
on the phone, and uses false phone numbers to throw her off. The boyfriend has
made verbal threats to the victim in the past. The victim was directed to
contact the District Attorney about a protective order while the case is being
investigated.
10/19 - Missing Person
(Juvenile) - 4200 block of Danny Drive: At 9:11 a.m. a complaint was made on
for a 15 year old female who left home the day before. The female juvenile left
home to go to school and then walked away from school. She has not been heard
from since except in one text message. She was reported as a runaway and
entered into the national database.
10/19 - Vehicle Burglary - 1000
block of Bowman Springs Road: A victim came to the police department to report
that his unlocked vehicle had been entered while parked at school. Person(s) unknown
took cash that was inside the vehicle.
10/19 - Assault by Contact - 500
block of Crestview Drive: At 3:56 p.m. officers responded to a domestic
disturbance. An adult male victim reported that his live-in girlfriend had
assaulted him. The victim had marks consistent with his description of the
assault. The female was arrested for the assault and transported to jail for
booking.

- Possession Dangerous Drug - 100 block of Hilltop Drive: At 5:55 p.m. officers
responded to a report of drug use at a city park. Officer found three adult
males present who had just finished smoking marijuana. One of the males was in
possession of a dangerous drug that he had a prescription for but was giving
the drug to his friends. A family member of the male responded but could not
find the prescription bottle. The male was arrested for possession of the drug
and transported to jail for booking.
10/20 - Aggravated Assault (Family
Violence) - 200 block of S. Kenney Street: At 4:41 p.m. officers responded to a
domestic assault complaint. On arrival, an adult male was attempting to start a
vehicle in the driveway so he could leave. As officers attempted to detain him
to prevent his leaving while the complaint was investigated, the male began to
actively resist officers. Once he was detained, the female victim was contacted
at a neighbor’s residence. The victim reported that the suspect had struck her
in the face with a pipe and then prevented her from contacting police by
disabling her cell phone. Both of her eyes were swollen and bruised. Medics
were called and she was transported to Mansfield Methodist Hospital for
treatment. The suspect was taken to jail and booked in for Aggravated Assault
(Family Violence), Resisting Arrest or Detention, and Interfering with an Emergency
Request for Assistance.
10/21 - Theft $2,500 to $30,000
- 1100 block of Bowman Springs Road: At 9:22 a.m. a victim reported that his
Kuboto UTV was stolen from his business during the overnight hours.
10/21 - Missing Person
(Juvenile) - 700 block of Woodland Court: At 2:00 p.m. an officer responded to
a report of a runaway juvenile. The juvenile left her home by climbing through
the bedroom window to leave. She was reported as a runaway and entered into the
national database.

- Driving While Intoxicated - 700 block of W. Kennedale Parkway: At 9:43 p.m. an
officer stopped a vehicle for driving without headlights. The adult male driver
appeared intoxicated and was unable to successfully complete a field sobriety
assessment. He was arrested and transported to jail for booking for DWI. While
conducting the vehicle inventory on the suspect’s vehicle, an adult female
parked in a nearby lot and walked over to the suspect’s vehicle. Despite
numerous requests to leave the area the female insisted on demanding to know
who the officer had in custody. After an attempt to enter the suspect’s
vehicle, the female was placed under arrest for interfering with the officer
and for resisting arrest or detention. She was transported to jail for booking.
