10/29 - Driving While intoxicated - 1000 block of Swiney Hiett Road: At 3:09 a.m. an officers stopped a vehicle for erratic driving. The adult male driver had his adult spouse and his children, ages 3 and 5, in the vehicle with him. The driver appeared to be intoxicated and the officer observed a bottle of tequila and several unopened cans of cold beer in the vehicle. The suspect was unable to successfully complete a field sobriety assessment. He was arrested and transported to jail for a voluntary blood draw and booking. The vehicle and children were released to his spouse, who had not been drinking.

 

10/29 - Possession Marijuana - 700 block of N. Dick Price Road: At 3:52 p.m. an officer stopped a vehicle for an equipment violation. The adult male driver and his juvenile female passenger were in the front seat. The officer detected a strong odor of marijuana inside of the vehicle. The officer asked the male to step from the vehicle. When he did a small bag of marijuana fell from his lap onto the ground. The officer secured the driver in handcuffs and seized the drug. Upon having the female exit the vehicle, a second bag of marijuana was found in the console. The male also had multiple arrest warrants out of Forest Hill. He was arrested and transported to jail for booking. The female was released to a family member who responded to the scene.

 

10/30 - Burglary - 4200 block of Dick Price Road: At 7:44 a.m. a victim reported that her business was burglarized by unknown person(s). The office was entered by an entry door being forced open. Cash was taken from a cash register in the building.

 

10/30 - Burglary - 4200 block of Dick Price Road: At 8:46 a.m. a victim reported that a storage container was broken into at his business. Person(s) unknown removed several hundred dollars in tools and electronics. Entry was gained by cutting a security bolt holding the door in place.

 

`10/30 - Unauthorized Use of Motor Vehicle - 300 block of W. Kennedale Parkway: At 11:36 a.m. an officer stopped a black Cadillac Escalade with an expired temporary license plate. The vehicle’s interior had been stripped except for the driver’s seat. The adult male driver stated that he worked for a body shop and had been paid money to drive the vehicle to his shop. The vehicle was discovered to be stolen out of White Settlement. An Auto Theft Task Force investigator responded and took charge of the suspect and vehicle. The suspect was transported to Mansfield for further questioning. The vehicle was impounded and placed on hold.

 

10/30 - Information Report - 1100 block of Greenview Lane: At 4:04 p.m. a victim reported that he and his wife have been receiving threats via cell phones from their adult son. The son lives in Dallas County and suffers from a mental disorder. To date the threats have only been via the phones and the son has not been at the home.

         

10/30 - Accident - 7000 block of E. Kennedale Parkway: At 5:46 p.m. a victim reported that her 2016 Toyota was damaged by another vehicle. The victim stated that she was proceeding though a green light on Kennedale Parkway at Eden Road when a tan 4 door sedan ran through the red light and struck her vehicle. The suspect did not stop but continued on toward Mansfield on Kennedale Parkway.

 

10/30 - Abandoned /Found Property - 7000 block of E. Kennedale Parkway: At 3:01 p.m. an officer received a wallet that was found in the parking lot of a business. The wallet contained identification, cash, and credit cards. The owner could not be contacted. The wallet was secured until the owner can be reached.

 

10/31 - Assault by Contact - 1200 block of Hunters Haven Road: At 9:26 a.m. officers responded to a domestic disturbance. A male and female were arguing when the argument became physical. There were no injuries requiring medical attention but the female did have marks consistent with their stories. Based on accounts from the two adults, the male was determined to be the aggressor. He was cited for simple assault and released to go to work.

 

11/2 - Forgery of Financial Instrument - 200 block of W. Kennedale Parkway: At 5:07 p.m. officers responded to a forgery in progress. An adult male was attempting to pass a forged check at a local bank. The male was on scene and officers took him into custody after confirming that the check was forged. He was transported to jail for booking.

 

11/3 - Aggravated Assault - 600 block of Tower Drive: At 3:44 a.m. officers responded to a fight in progress. Two employees at a business had begun to argue when one of the employees began to assault the other. At one point the suspect attempted to strike the victim with a sledge hammer. The fight was documented on company security video. The suspect was arrested and transported to jail for booking.

 

11/3 - Vehicle Burglary - 1200 block of W. Kennedale Parkway: At 6:09 a.m. a victim reported that his vehicle was broken into. Unknown suspects broke the passenger window and removed the victim’s wallet and tools that were inside in plain view. The business’s security video showed two males burglarizing the vehicle and leaving the business.
