11/26 - Abandoned/ Found
Property - 6500 block of Hudson Village Creek Road: At 5:49 p.m. a citizen
found a wallet on the side of the road. The wallet contained identification on
the owner. The officer attempted to contact the owner but was not able to
locate a good contact address or number. The wallet was placed in property for
safekeeping until the owner can be located.
11/27 - Burglary - 1100 block
of Parkview Trail: At 5:06 p.m. a victim contacted police to report that
unknown person(s) burglarized his home. The offense occurred between the 10:30
a.m. and 1:00 p.m. Suspect(s) removed electronics and jewelry before leaving.
Entry was made by prying open a rear window.
11/28 - Vehicle Burglary - 1200
block of W. Kennedale Parkway: At 5:30 a.m. an officer responded to vehicle
burglary. A male suspect removed work tools from the victim’s truck and left in
a red Ford Bronco driven by another suspect. As it left the Bronco almost
struck a witness to the offense. The license plate showed the vehicle to be
stolen out of Fort Worth.
11/29 - Incident - 7800 block
of Townsend Drive: At 1:44 a.m. Mansfield police were pursuing a DWI suspect in
a vehicle entering into Kennedale on the Mansfield Highway. A Kennedale unit
followed the two vehicles as there was only one Mansfield unit with the
suspect. After several minutes the suspect was stopped by other Mansfield units
who arrived on scene. The suspect was also found to be wanted on a parole
violation warrant.
11/30 - Criminal Mischief $750
to $2,500 - 200 block of E. Kennedale Parkway: At 9:10 a.m. a victim reported
that a window was broken out on his business. No entry was made and nothing was
missing.
11/30 - Abandoned Vehicle - 600
block of N. Little School Road: At 8:09 p.m. an officer observed a 1996
Chrysler van occupying the main traffic lane of Little School Road. The van
appeared to be a work vehicle. The owner could not be contacted and the vehicle
was towed to impound at 8:42 p.m.
12/1 - Driving While Intoxicated
- 800 block of Bowman Springs Road: At 1:23 a.m. an officer stopped a vehicle
for erratic driving. The driver, an adult male, smelled of an alcoholic
beverage and appeared to be intoxicated. The driver was unable to successfully
complete a field sobriety assessment and was arrested for DWI. He was
transported to jail for a blood draw and for booking.
12/1 – Theft $750 to $2,500 -
7200 block of Hudson Village Creek Road: At 3:55 p.m. a victim contacted police
to report that unknown suspect(s) removed a brush hog mower and a battery from
his Massey Ferguson tractor. The victim’s company was cleaning up the property
and the vehicle had been left unattended since 11/15/2017.
12/1 - Public Intoxication - 1200 block of W. Kennedale Parkway: At 6:08
p.m. an officer responded to a complaint of an intoxicated person at a
business. The suspect was observed standing at the side of the building by the
officer. The suspect attempted to walk away from the officer but was very
unstable in his gait and finally stopped after receiving several commands from
the officer. The suspect smelled strongly of an alcoholic beverage and appeared
to be highly intoxicated. He was unable to speak clearly and his clothing was
disheveled. The suspect was arrested for public intoxication and transported to
jail for booking.
12/2 – Fraud - 500 block of
Steeplechase Trail: At 8:43 p.m. a victim reported that he had been victimized
by a telephone fraud scam. The suspect called by phone representing himself as
being with the victim’s subscription TV service. The victim was instructed to
purchase a specific gift card in order to get his TV subscription service bill lowered.
When the victim bought the card and gave the number to the suspect, the suspect
removed the money from the card. A separate call to the TV company revealed
that the suspect was not an employee and was not connected with them in any
capacity.
