12/10 - Aggravated Assault (Weapon) - 200 block of Pine Meadow Drive: At 10:11 p.m. officers responded to a 911 call. On arrival a female victim met the officers and stated that her boyfriend had assaulted her during an argument. The male suspect denied any physical altercation occurred but the victim had injuries consistent with her story. The suspect was arrested and transported to jail for booking on the assault plus multiple arrest warrants out of Pantego.

 

12/11 - Public Intoxication - 300 block of W. Kennedale Parkway: At 4:04 p.m. officers responded to a complaint of an intoxicated person walking in traffic. A male was observed walking in the reported manner and was stopped by the officers. The male, who is known to the officers from multiple previous encounters, was intoxicated and had an open container on his person that he was drinking from. The male was placed under arrest for public intoxication and transported to jail for booking.

 

12/12 - Recovered Stolen Vehicle - 6800 block of Mansfield Cardinal Road: At 8:57 a.m. an officer located a vehicle parked off of the roadway. The vehicle, a red Chevrolet truck, was damaged from a fire in the passenger compartment and was missing parts. The vehicle was reported stolen out of Arlington. The Auto Theft Task Force was contacted and asked that the vehicle be towed to their lot for processing and impound.

 

12/12 – Vehicle Burglary - 7300 block of Bachelor Road: At 1118 a.m. a victim reported that his red Dodge truck was broken into over the weekend. Suspect(s) removed work tools valued at $589.00 from the passenger compartment. The victim could not remember if the truck was locked but no forced entry was observed on the vehicle.

 

12/12 - Possession of Marijuana - 200 block of Village Street: At 9:40 p.m. an officer observed a suspicious vehicle at the city ball fields, which has been the site of numerous burglaries and criminal mischief offenses over the years. The vehicle quickly drove away as the officer entered the property. Upon getting the vehicle stopped, the officer made contact with an adult male driver and his adult female passenger. The officer detected a strong odor of marijuana from inside the vehicle. The driver was found to be in possession of marijuana and related paraphernalia as well as an arrest warrant from Watauga. The driver was arrested and transported to jail for booking. The female was released at the scene.

 

12/13 - Possession of Marijuana - 4300 block S. New Hope Road: At 9:30 a.m. an officer stopped a vehicle for speeding. The adult male driver smelled of marijuana and stated that he had been smoking at home. The officer located a small safe in the vehicle that contained marijuana and located paraphernalia to smoke it in the console. He was arrested and transported to jail for booking.

 

12/13 - Aggravated Robbery - 700 block of W. Kennedale Parkway: At 10:08 p.m. officers responded to an armed robbery. An employee of the business stated that two males entered the store and demanded money. A handgun was displayed and the suspects left in an unknown direction. Two witnesses were present in addition to the employee when the robbery occurred. No one was injured.

 

12/14 - Criminal Mischief $750 to $2,500 - 900 block of Wildcat Way: At 8:55 p.m. an officer responded to two calls regarding criminal mischief. Two complainants stated that their vehicles each had a window broken out. No entry appeared to have been made into the vehicles and no property was missing.

 

12/15 - Assault by Contact - 100 block of E. Mistletoe Road: At 11:00 a.m. a school resource officer received a complaint of an assault at the junior high school. A female student was reported to have slapped another female student for speaking to a boy that the two females have a common interest in. The victim’s mother desired to pursue charges in the assault.

 

12/15 - Possession of Child Pornography - 6800 block of Oak Crest Drive West: The police department received an offense case file from the White Settlement police in regards to an adult male who is alleged to have taken a photograph of a minor female in an unclothed state. The case is open and under investigation.

 

12/15 - Assault (Bodily Injury) (Family Violence) - 900 block of Corry A. Edwards Drive: At 7:21 p.m. officers responded to a domestic disturbance. A female reported that her boyfriend had grabbed her during an argument and squeezed her hard enough to cause pain and impede her breathing. When the victim called police the suspect fled the house before officers could arrive.

 

12/16 - Application for Mental Detention and Observation - 200 block of N. Dick Price Road: At 1:05 a.m. officers responded to a domestic disturbance. A known female who suffers from mental illness had assaulted another female. The victim did not want to pursue charges but the suspect was in obvious need of an emergency detention. She was transported to a private hospital for a voluntary detention and evaluation.

 

12/16 - Driving While Intoxicated - 100 block of S. New Hope Road: At 9:47 p.m. officers responded to an accident. A black Jeep Wrangler was observed backed into a drainage ditch. The male driver was present and stated that he had backed into the ditch by mistake. The male appeared to be intoxicated and was unable to successfully complete a field sobriety assessment. The male was arrested and transported to jail for a voluntary blood draw and booking.
