12/17 – Theft $750 to $2,500
- 200 block of Pine Meadow Drive: At 12:12 a.m. a victim reported that his
IPhone was stolen by an unknown male. The victim stated that he advertised
on-line that the phone was for sale and the suspect called wanting to purchase
the phone. The suspect came to the victim’s home and, while looking at the
phone, the suspect fled. He entered a waiting vehicle and drove away.
12/17 - Assault (Bodily
Injury) - 5860 block of E IH 20: At 11:20 a.m. an adult male victim reported an
assault that occurred three weeks earlier. The victim stated that he had
attended a party. During the party a known suspect approached the victim and
punched him in the left eye. This caused a laceration that required stitches
for closure. The victim reported not knowing what caused the suspect to lash
out.
12/17 - Missing Person
(Juvenile) - 1000 block of Bell Oak Drive: At 6:21 p.m. an officer received a
report of a missing female juvenile. The juvenile was staying at the home of a
family friend while her foster parents were away. The reporting person stated
that she heard the juvenile walk out of the front door two hours earlier and
had not seen her since.
12/17 - Assault (Bodily
Injury) (Family Violence) - 100 block of Oakwood Lane: At 7:17 p.m. officers
responded to a domestic assault. A female victim stated that her boyfriend
(suspect), who was not at the scene, had come home intoxicated and she told him
to leave. The suspect returned later and began to argue with the victim,
choking her during the argument. During the officers’ investigation the male
returned to the location and was taken into custody. The victim reported that
the suspect has a prior history of violence against her. He was transported to
jail for booking.
12/19 - Incident - 400 block of
Municipal Drive: At 10:44 a.m. an officer received a report of a juvenile
dispute. The complainant’s juvenile son was in a text dispute with another
juvenile male. The other male claimed to have gang connections and made some
general statements that did not arise to the level of a threat. A report was
generated for information.
12/19 - Assault by Contact - 800 block of Woodland Court: At 9:35 p.m.
officers responded to a 911 hang-up. The number returned to a residence with a
history of domestic disturbances. The officers made contact with two brothers
who had been having an argument. When officers determined who the primary
aggressor was, a citation was being issued. During this time the officer asked
the suspect if he had somewhere to go until tempers cooled down. The suspect
became agitated and upset at officers and refused to leave. He was taken into
custody based on the officer’s belief that more violence would occur. The
suspect was transported to jail for booking on the assault by contact citation.
12/20 - Assault (Bodily Injury) (Family Violence) - 800 block of W.
Kennedale Parkway: At 2:39 a.m. officers responded to a possible assault. A
homeless female reported that she had been assaulted by a known male suspect
who lives with her at her camp site. The victim reported numerous assaults over
the last two months. The suspect was not at the scene when officers were
present.
12/21 - Theft $100 to $750 - 1100 block of W. Kennedale Parkway: At 3:30
p.m. a victim reported that her cell phone had been stolen. The victim stated
that the phone had been left in a booth at a restaurant and when she returned
to get it, the phone was gone. Security video of the inside of the business was
not immediately available but will be at a later date.
12/21 - Application for Mental Detention and Observation - 1200 block of
Vera Lane: At 8:21 p.m. officers responded to an emotionally disturbed person.
The victim, an adult female, had gotten into an argument with a family member.
The victim was reported to have cut herself on the wrists and then left the
home on foot. After being located a short distance away, the victim was
agitated and combative to officers and was taken into custody. After being
medically cleared by Fire/Rescue personnel, the victim was transported to JPS
Hospital for an emergency mental detention and evaluation due to the self-inflicted
injuries she sustained.
12/22 - Vehicle Burglary - 700 block of Lakewood Drive: At 5:34 a.m. a
victim reported that her 2002 GMC Yukon was burglarized overnight. Unknown
suspect(s) broke a window and removed a diaper bag that was in the seat.
12/22 - Vehicle Burglary - 1000 block of Winding Creek Drive: At 6:38 a.m.
a victim reported that his wallet and his wife’s purse were taken from their
vehicle during the overnight hours. The vehicle was not parked in the garage
and was unlocked.
12/22 - Vehicle Burglary - 300 block of Creekwood Court: At 7:17 a.m. a victim
reported that his 2006 Honda was broken into overnight. Unknown suspect(s) broke
a window and removed a backpack, wallet, and laptop computer from the vehicle.
12/22 - Vehicle Burglary - 1200 block of Forest Green Drive: At 12:40 p.m.
a victim reported that her Chevrolet Camaro had been broken into. Unknown
suspect(s) broke a window and removed a backpack from the seat.
12/23 - Driving While Intoxicated - 1100 block of Bowman Springs Road: At
12:59 a.m. an officer observed an adult male attempting to change a flat tire.
The male appeared to have difficulty with his balance and the officer stopped
to investigate. The male smelled of alcoholic beverage and exhibited signs of
alcohol intoxication. He was unable to successfully complete a field sobriety
test and was arrested for DWI. He was transported to jail for a blood test and
booking. The tire was flattened in an apparent collision with a concrete median
a short distance away.
