1/21 - Assault by Contact - 200 block of Pine Meadow Drive: At 3:09 a.m.
officers responded to a domestic disturbance. A male and female had gotten into
an argument and the female assaulted the male. Both had been drinking alcohol
at a location in Fort Worth earlier. The female broke several items in the
home, which the two share. The male called his sister to pick him up from the
residence. The female was cited for the assault by contact as she did not
injure the victim. The victim left with his sister.
1/21 - Assault Bodily Injury (Family Violence) - 1100 block of Greenview
Lane: At 12:32 p.m. officers responded to a domestic disturbance. An adult male
child who no longer lives at the residence had assaulted his father and then
fled the residence. The suspect was located a short distance away and taken
into custody. The victim stated that he had been assaulted as he tried to get
the suspect to leave the residence. The suspect has been diagnosed with several
mental illness issues. He was transported to JPS Hospital for an emergency
evaluation and treatment. Charges will be filed at a later date.
1/22 - Assault by Contact - 200 block of Chateau Avenue: At 1:26 a.m.
officers responded to a domestic disturbance. A male victim reported that his girlfriend
had assaulted him and caused damage to his property. The victim reported that
an argument had started in Fort Worth and the girlfriend exited the vehicle
while driving home. He left to return home when she refused to get back in the
car. The girlfriend/suspect called a family member to pick her up and bring her
home. When she arrived she began to argue with the victim. The victim exhibited
minor marks and scratches consistent with his account of being assaulted. The
suspect was issued a citation for simple assault.
1/22 - Incident - 300 block of Spring Branch Lane: At 6:08 p.m. a parent
reported that his 14 year old son was walking home from the junior high school
at approximately 5:48 p.m. The son reported that an unknown model of GMC or
Chevrolet truck, occupied by two males, stopped at a stop sign and the driver attempted
to get the complainant’s son to come over to the truck. He fled the area and
found an adult nearby. The truck drove away.
1/23 - Possession Control Substance - 300 block of W. Kennedale Parkway: At
12:56 a.m. an officer stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. The adult male
driver was contacted and issued a warning for the violation. During the contact
the driver was discovered to be in possession of cocaine. He was placed under
arrest and transported to jail for booking. The narcotic was placed in evidence
after being field tested.
1/23 - Forge or Alter Prescription - 300 block of W. Kennedale Parkway: At
9:41 a.m. a pharmacy notified police of a forged prescription. A female had
passed the prescription which ultimately proved to be false. The pad had been
stolen from a doctor’s office. The pharmacy had photocopies of the I.D.s used
to obtain the medication.
1/23 - Assault Bodily Injury (Family Violence) - 800 block of Pennsylvania
Avenue: At 9:38 p.m. officers responded to a domestic disturbance. An adult
female had illegally entered her son’s home and refused to leave. The son
physically picked her up and carried her outside to the front porch. The
suspect then began to strike the victim several times before police were called.
The victim stated that the suspect suffers from mental issues but refuses to
get assistance. The suspect was arrested and transported to jail for booking.
1/24 - Possession Dangerous Drug - 5400 block of Link Street: At 12:53 a.m.
an officer stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. The vehicle contained
three adult male occupants. During the interview of the occupants the rear seat
passenger was determined to be in possession of Hydrocodone pills and
methamphetamine. There was also related narcotics paraphernalia in the vehicle.
The passenger also had active arrest warrants from River Oaks and Parker County.
He was arrested and transported to jail for booking. The other occupants were
released at the scene. The narcotics were entered into evidence.
1/24 - Theft $750 to $2,500 - 700 block of Shady Lane: At 6:42 p.m. a victim
reported that unknown person(s) removed several hundred dollars from his bank
account using a phone app. The account was closed and the case is under
investigation.
1/24 - Incident - 100 block of Pine Meadow Drive: At 6:34 p.m. officers
responded to a complaint of a theft. The offense actually occurred in unincorporated
Tarrant County but the suspect had been located at a residence in Kennedale.
The suspect was in possession of the stolen items and he was turned over to sheriff’s
deputies.
1/25 - Application for Mental Detention and Observation - 300 block of Lone
Oak Court: At 12:19 a.m. officers responded to an emotionally disturbed person.
An adult female reported that her husband had threatened to harm himself and
was suffering from a mental disorder. When questioned the male did threaten to
harm himself and was detained by officers. He was transported to JPS Hospital
for an emergency mental evaluation and treatment.
1/26 - Theft under $100 - 6900 block of Mansfield Cardinal Road: At 9:41
a.m. a victim reported that two unknown persons removed mail from his mailbox
while he watched. The victim provided a good vehicle description and possible location
for the suspect vehicle.
1/27 - Missing Person (Juvenile) - 500 block of North Road: At 10:34 p.m.
an officer responded to a welfare concern. A small male child was reported
running down Bowman Springs Road. The child was located but seemed disoriented
and unable to give an address. During an attempt to locate the child’s
residence, dispatch received a call that the child was missing from a residence
on North Road. He was taken to the residence. The adult female who reported the
child missing is a temporary guardian of the child. He was removed from his
mother’s custody by CPS. The child has an emotional disorder and has not been
able to take his medication due to taking flu medication. He had left the house
in an attempt to locate his mother. The child was coaxed out of the patrol unit
and into the residence.
