On Friday, February 23, 2018, Sergeant Stephen Dagnell graduated from Class 124 of the prestigious School of Police Supervision at the Institute for Law Enforcement Administration (ILEA). This is an intensive four-week training session designed for 21st century police supervisors.
Topics such as effective employee motivation, legal liability issues, and effective discipline are covered in depth. In addition, each attendee is required to write a research paper over a subject assigned to them by the institute staff.
The class, which is a requirement for all KPD Sergeants, included 50 police supervisors from different law enforcement agencies. Sgt. Dagnell was promoted from Corporal/Investigator in November of 2017, and we are proud to have him as a member of our leadership team. We look forward to the positive impact that he will have in our ability to serve our citizens.
