2/25 - Application for Mental Detention and Observation - 200 block of N.
Dick Price Road: At 2:08 p.m. officers responded to a domestic disturbance. An
adult male stated that his girlfriend had assaulted him when he asked her about
where his medication was located. The suspect is prescribed medication for
mental issues but had not been taking them. She was agitated and appeared to be
uncontrollably angry. She was also speaking incoherently to the officer. She
was transported to JPS Hospital for an emergency mental detention and
evaluation.
2/25 - Theft - 400 block of Kevin Miller Road: At 6:27 p.m. a victim
reported that persons unknown entered her horse trailer and removed several
saddles and bridles. The items were valued at $3,700.00.
2/26 - Assault Bodily Injury (Family Violence) - 100 block of N. Dick Price
Road: At 11:50 p.m. officers responded to a domestic disturbance. A female victim
reported that her husband had pushed her and spit in her face during an
argument. The physical motion of the push reportedly aggravated a recent
surgery that the victim was recovering from. The suspect had left the home
right after the assault and spoke to officers by phone. The suspect stated that
he was flying out of town on business and would not be returning for the night.
The victim requested a protective order to be filed based on the domestic
violence.
2/26 - Tobacco/Smoking on School Property - 900 block of Wildcat Way: At
11:30 a.m. a school resource officer was notified that a staff member had found
tobacco products in the backpack of an adult student. He was cited for
the violation and released.
2/26 - Assault by Contact - 300 block of Bowles Court: At 9:37 p.m.
officers responded to an assault call. A female victim stated that her grandson
had assaulted her by pinning her against a wall when she tried to give him
medication. The grandson admitted to the assault. He was cited and was allowed to remain at
the scene after taking his medication.
2/27 - Driving While Intoxicated - 400 block of N. Little School Road: At
5:10 a.m. officers responded to a major accident. An adult male was travelling
at a high rate of speed and struck a curb in a roundabout. The vehicle flipped
over several times before coming to rest in a vacant field. The driver was
transported to JPS Hospital for medical evaluation and treatment. A blood draw
warrant was obtained and served at the hospital.
2/27 - Theft $100 to $750 - 400 block of Caymus Street: At 9:40 a.m. a victim
reported that two uninstalled windows were taken from a construction site during
the overnight hours.
2/27 - Theft under $100 - 900 block of Wildcat Way: At 6:19 p.m. a victim
reported that an unknown person removed his front license plate from his
vehicle. The plate was believed to have been removed while the victim was at
work that day.
2/28 - Assault (Bodily Injury) - 900 block of Corry A. Edwards Drive: At
10:40 a.m. a school resource officer was notified of an assault at the junior
high school. A juvenile male assaulted another juvenile male between classes.
The assault was captured on video by the school’s security system. Both were
released to their parents. The suspect will have a case referred to the
juvenile center for the assault.
2/28 - Vehicle Burglary - 5600 block of E. IH 20: At 12:30 p.m. a victim
reported that on the day before person(s) unknown entered her vehicle while it
was parked at a business. A purse with medications and a cell phone was removed.
There was no forced entry on the vehicle.
3/2 - Incident - 300 block of Creekwood Court: At 5:18 p.m. officers responded
to a disturbance involving a man with a gun. On arrival officers discovered that
the disturbance involved two males trying to repossess a truck for missed
payments. The truck’s owner wanted to retrieve his personal items, including a
handgun, from the vehicle. The repossessor called police when he observed the
handgun. The truck’s owner stated that he had made the payment the day before
but it could not be confirmed. The repossession company did not have a court
order to seize the vehicle for non-payment and left the vehicle at the scene
until paperwork could be secured.
3/2 - Incident - 300 block of North Road: At 4:46 p.m. officers responded
to a report of a suspicious male in a home in the 300 block of North Road. A
home owner reported that while he and his wife were out, a suspicious male had
conned his way into their home. The male was dressed in a blue shirt and a
reflective vest. He reported that there was a gas leak and needed to enter the
home. The homeowner’s 14 year old granddaughter allowed him inside the home but
the homeowners arrived shortly after he entered. The suspicious male fled the residence
in a white 80s model Chevrolet truck when the homeowners returned. It is
unknown why the male wanted entry to the home as nothing appeared to be missing
and no demands were made or weapons displayed. A witness chased the vehicle and
was able to obtain a partial license plate number of CZ_ 9453. The male is
described as stocky build, 5’10”, mid 30s, and possibly Hispanic.
