03/03 – Burglary – 1000 block
of Estates Drive: At 3:27 p.m. a victim reported to police that his home had
been burglarized. During the day when the victim was not home, an unknown person
forced open the front door and removed several electronic items. The offense
was captured on a nearby security video.
03/04 - Driving While
Intoxicated - 5300 block of SE Loop 820: At 1:15 a.m. an officer observed a
2011 white Ford that had struck a fence in the 6700 block of Oak Crest Drive.
The lone occupant, an adult female, was in the driver seat and the air bags
were deployed. The female stated that she was waiting for someone to pick her
up from the location. The female smelled of alcoholic beverage and appeared to
be under the influence. She was unable to successfully complete a field sobriety
assessment and was placed under arrest. After being transported to jail a blood
warrant was obtained and a blood draw was conducted. The female was booked into
the jail without incident.
03/05 - Application for
Mental Detention and Observation - 1200 block of N. Little School Road: At 7:56
p.m. officers responded to an emotionally disturbed person. A homeless male was
in a business and threatening suicide. The subject appeared to be suffering
from a mental episode of some type and was detained for safety. He was taken to
JPS Hospital for an emergency mental detention and observation.
03/06 - Possession Control
Substance - 1300 block of Mountain View Lane: At 2:05 a.m. an officer stopped a
vehicle for erratic driving. The officer smelled alcoholic beverage and marijuana
inside the vehicle. A search of the vehicle revealed that the driver was in possession
of marijuana and prescription medication. The suspect was transported to jail
for a blood draw and to be booked in for the narcotics and DWI.
03/06 – Theft $2,500 to $30,000
- 1200 block of N. Little School Road: At 8:12 p.m. a victim reported that her
2007 Honda Fit was stolen from the parking lot of her employer. The vehicle was
taken during the employee’s work shift.
03/07 - Burglary - 1700 block of Stags Leap Trail: At 8:20 a.m. a company employee
reported that person(s) unknown removed two uninstalled thermostats from a
house under construction. The door the house had been left unsecured overnight.
03/08 - Death Investigation - 700 block of Crest View Drive: At 4:54 p.m.
officers responded to a welfare concern. A complainant reported that her neighbor
had not been seen in some time. He was described as in poor health and possibly
in his 70s. Officers located an unlocked back door but were unable to make
immediate entry due to several large dogs. ACO was contacted to handle the dogs.
The resident, a male, was observed in a room of the home and appeared to be
deceased. Officers contacted the on-call investigator and a search warrant was
obtained for the premises. The dogs were removed from the location so that an
investigation could be conducted. The deceased was turned over to the medical
examiner’s office. The male appeared to be deceased from natural causes.
03/09 - Incident - 1000 block of Bowman Springs Road: At 12:37 p.m.
officers responded to a report of a possible threat against a private school
campus. The threat was reported by phone to a school official after all
students had left the campus for spring break. Investigators were notified and
were able to speak with the reporting person. After further investigation it
was determined that the statement made did not rise to the level of a threat or
a criminal act.
03/09 - Vehicle Burglary - 600 block of Fawn Meadow Trail: At 4:31 p.m. a victim
reported that during the overnight hours person(s) unknown entered his vehicle without
authorization and removed several hundred dollars in tools. The rear window
does not secure and it is believed that this is where the entry occurred.
