3/25 - Death Investigation - 3200 block of Joplin Road: At 6:49 a.m.
officers responded to a report of a deceased person. A 76 year old male was
found in bed and did appear to be deceased. The victim had been dealing with
several medical issues. Medics confirmed the death and the Medical Examiner’s
office was contacted by phone. Due to the medical history and since no foul
play was evident the victim was released to a local funeral home.
3/26 - Burglary - 1500 block of Diamond Creek Lane: At 8:05 a.m. a victim
reported that a home was entered and the door to a microwave was stolen. The
home was secured before the victim left it and it was still secured when he
arrived back. The suspect(s) may have had a key.
3/26 - Theft Under $100 - 100 block of Pine Meadow Drive: At 7:02 p.m. a
victim reported that a known male and female had removed checks from her
checkbook without the victim’s permission. At least two unauthorized
withdrawals were made. .
3/27 - Burglary - 500 block of Averett Road: At 3:02 p.m. a victim reported
that her front door was forced open while she was out. Person(s) unknown
entered the home and removed a portable safe that contained identifying items
and jewelry. Nothing else was missing.
3/28 - Criminal Mischief $100 to $750 - 900 block of Shady Creek Drive: On
this date a detective was contacted by the district attorney’s office. The
contact was in reference to possible criminal mischief committed by a Kennedale
resident. The resident is alleged to have caused damage to a neighbor’s property.
The case is under investigation.
3/28 - Burglary - 400 block of Gail Drive: At 4:53 p.m. a victim reported
that unknown person(s) kicked open the rear door of his home. The offense
occurred during the day while everyone was out. Nothing was missing. The suspect(s)
may have been deterred by a dog on the premises.
3/28 - Burglary - 500 block of Linda Road: At 8:01 p.m. a victim reported
that unknown person(s) forced open the front door of her home and removed an
electronic tablet and jewelry. The offense occurred during the daylight hours.
3/29 - Theft $2,500 to $30,000 - 600 block of N. Dick Price Road: At 3:20
p.m. a victim reported that two suspects had removed a work trailer containing
hand and power tools from his property. The trailer and contents were valued at
$9,000. The suspects were captured on security video and that video was given
to the reporting officer. The trailer was recovered in Fort Worth later in the
shift. There were items missing from the trailer but it was intact. It was
returned to the victim.
3/29 - Online Solicitation of a Minor - 900 block of Wildcat Way: On this
date the high school resource officer was contacted by a school counselor. A
female student had made an outcry about being solicited for sex by an adult
male not associated with the school. The student refused to speak with the
officer about the issue. Two days later a second female student made an outcry with
the same complaint. The suspect’s name was given to the officer along with
other identifying information. It was determined that the suspect and victim
live in Arlington. Arlington police were contacted as well. The case is under
investigation.
3/30 – Theft $750 to $2,500 -
4300 block of Dick Price Road: At 9:46 a.m. a victim reported that a fuel pump
and hose were stolen. The unit was valued at $1,200.
