4/16 - Assault by Contact - 5400 block of High Ridge Road: At 2:00 p.m. officers responded to a disturbance. A male and female had been arguing and the male grabbed the female, causing her to scrape her arm. The male was arrested for the assault and transported to jail for booking.
4/17 - Evading Arrest Detention w/ Vehicle - 700 block of W. Kennedale Parkway: At 1:42 p.m. an officer observed a suspicious vehicle parked at a closed business. As the officer neared the vehicle and activated his unit’s emergency lights, the vehicle, a silver minivan, drove away from the location and onto Kennedale Parkway. The vehicle turned down a dead end street and then left the roadway into a wooded area. The officer was unable to follow the vehicle due to the rough terrain. A foot check of the area revealed a license plate that showed to belong on a 2002 gray Chrysler minivan out of Fort Worth. Fort Worth officers were familiar with the vehicle and its owner, and checked the registered address as well as the last known current address. The vehicle was not at either location. The license plate was placed in evidence.
4/18 - Death Investigation - 5400 block of Kennedale Street: At 5:20 p.m. an officer was flagged to down in regards to a male that had collapsed and was unconscious. The male was found in an open field area and did not appear to be breathing. The officer and a citizen performed CPR until the arrival of the Fire Department. Paramedics arrived and advised that the male was deceased. It appeared that the male died from natural causes. The medical examiner’s office took possession of the deceased and transported him from the scene.
