4/29 - Assault Bodily Injury (Family Violence) - 800 block of Shady Creek Drive: At 9:30 p.m. officers responded to a domestic disturbance. On arrival an adult female victim reported that she had been arguing with her husband when he became physical. The victim reported being dragged across the floor and suffering injury as a result. Injury consistent with the victim’s account was observed by the officers. The husband was arrested and transported to jail for booking.

 

5/01 - Assault by Contact - 700 block of E. Kennedale Parkway: At 1:12 p.m. a victim reported to police that she had been in an argument with an adult male.  The male struck the victim on the shoulder and left the scene when she stated that she was calling the police. The suspect is a known offender to officers.

 

5/01 - Application for Mental Detention and Observation - 6700 block of Lindale Road: At 7:24 p.m. officers responded to a report of a female in a roadway with no shirt on. On arrival, an adult female was observed in the roadway wearing only a pair of pants. The female was speaking incoherently and appeared to be having either a mental illness episode or a reaction to an unknown substance. The female was detained and transported to JPS Hospital for an emergency mental detention and evaluation.

 

5/02 - Assault by Contact - 300 block of W. Kennedale Parkway: At 7:45 a.m. officers responded to a domestic disturbance in progress. A female was observed striking a male when the first officer arrived. Before the officer could make contact the female, who turned out to the wife of the victim, left in her vehicle. Another officer attempted to stop her but the female fled. The officer did not pursue as the suspect information was available from the victim. A warrant will be issued for the suspect.

 

5/02 – Theft under $100 - 300 block of Spring Branch Lane: At 6:12 p.m. a victim reported that the temporary paper license plate was stolen from his new vehicle. The victim stated that he was unsure if the theft occurred at his residence or at his place of employment in Grand Prairie. The plate was entered into TCIC/NCIC as stolen.

 

5/02 - Assault Bodily Injury - 1100 block of W. Kennedale Parkway: At 5:38 p.m. a victim reported to police that he was assaulted by an unknown male. The victim stated that he was unloading supplies from his vehicle when some flour spilled into his car. He was standing at the drive-thru window getting some paper towels when a driver (suspect) pulled to the speaker and placed an order. The suspect began to act aggressively toward the victim and wanted him to move. The suspect then got out of his vehicle and chased the victim through the parking area. After catching up to the victim, the suspect assaulted him, causing visible injuries as well as choking the victim. The suspect was gone on the officer’s arrival. The victim was transported to JPS Hospital for treatment. Using the license plate obtained by the victim and a witness, a name and photo was found for a possible suspect. Detectives will follow-up.

 

5/03 - Application for Mental Detention and Observation - 200 block of N. Dick Price Road: At 5:23 a.m. officers responded to a domestic disturbance. An adult female had assaulted another adult female. Both the victim and the suspect were still on scene when officers arrived. The victim reported that the suspect misidentified her (the victim) as another resident of the home. The victim was dragged into another room from the bathroom and struck numerous times. The suspect appeared to be having a mental episode of some type and was transported to JPS Hospital for an emergency mental detention and evaluation.

 

5/03 - Theft $100 to $750 - 500 block of North Road: At 5:35 p.m. a victim reported that unknown person(s) took lawn care equipment from the inside of an open trailer. The items were not secured. The date and time of the theft were unknown.

 

5/04 - Possession of Marijuana /       Driving While Intoxicated - 7000 block of E. Kennedale Parkway: At 1:03 a.m. an officer stopped to check a vehicle that was stopped in a traffic lane. An adult male was in the driver seat and was asleep. The vehicle, which was in drive, had an interlock device that was sounding an alarm. The driver was awakened by officers and stated that he had been smoking marijuana. After exiting the vehicle, the driver was unable to successfully complete a field sobriety assessment. He was arrested and transported to jail for booking and a blood draw. Due to having three previous DWI convictions, the suspect was charged with felony DWI as well as possession of marijuana.  

 

5/04 - Theft - 300 block of S. New Hope Road: At 9:32 a.m. a victim reported to police that her handgun was taken from her vehicle glove compartment by a known male suspect. The victim stated that she had allowed the suspect to temporarily live in her residence. She noticed cash and other items missing and accused the suspect of taking the items. The victim gave the suspect a ride after kicking him out of the residence. During the ride the suspect was left in the vehicle while the victim went into a store. The victim later noticed that the gun was missing.

 

5/04 - Theft $750 to $2,500 - 500 block of Sublett Road: At 1:30 p.m. a victim reported that her purse and contents were taken during a funeral visitation. The victim reported that she left her purse on a table during the visitation and when she decided to leave the purse was gone. Only one attendee (suspect) had left during that time and it was determined by the victim and other attendees that the suspect had taken the purse.

 

5/04 - Criminal Trespass - 900 block of Wildcat Way: At 3:00 p.m. a non-student adult male was observed at the high school. An assistant principal and the school resource officer located the male and he was issued a criminal trespass warning.

 

5/04 - Incident - 7200 block of Bloxom Park Road: At 7:04 p.m. officers responded to a domestic disturbance. A female advised that she was being contacted by a male who was not supposed to be near her due to a family violence arrest last year. The male was on scene but stated that the female called him to come to the location, which is his family business. The female and suspect were both checked for warrants as well as protective orders. The male was clear but the female had an active felony arrest warrant out of Dallas County. The female stated that she had high blood pressure and other medical ailments which prevented her from being taken to jail. Medics were called and determined that she did in fact have extremely high blood pressure. This prevented her from being taken to jail for booking. Dallas County refused to send a marshal to take the female into custody. Officers were instructed to release her and the county would reissue the warrant later. The female was transported to Mansfield Methodist Hospital for evaluation.

 

5/05 - Recovered Stolen Vehicle - 100 block of Peachtree Court: At 12:22 a.m. an officer was checking several rental units for a reported stolen motorcycle. The motorcycle was found on the property. The motorcycle was impounded for the Arlington Police Department, which was the originating agency. The vehicle was turned over to the wrecker service for impound.
