5/6 - Driving While Intoxicated - 5800 block of Everman Kennedale Burleson
Road: At 1:32 a.m. an officer stopped a driver for erratic operation of a
vehicle. The adult male driver, who smelled of alcoholic beverage, exhibited
physical signs of intoxication. He was unable to successfully complete a field
sobriety assessment and was placed under arrest. The driver was transported to
jail for booking and a voluntary blood draw.
5/7 - Criminal Mischief $100 to $750 - 700 block of W. Kennedale Parkway:
At 12:00 p.m. a victim reported that during the overnight hours unknown
person(s) damaged some property that his company was preparing for sale. Damage
was estimated at $700.
5/7 - Application for Mental Detention and Observation - 1400 block of
Swiney Hiett Road: At 7:10 p.m. officers responded to an attempted suicide. An
adult female had attempted to harm herself when a family member intervened. The
victim was taken into custody and was transported to JPS Hospital for medical treatment
and mental evaluation.
5/8 - Theft $750 to $2,500 - 6900 block of E. Kennedale Parkway: At 8:00
a.m. a company representative reported that a U-Haul trailer was missing from a
rental lot in Kennedale. The trailer was last rented on 04/04/2018. It was
entered into TCIC/NCIC as stolen.
5/8 - Possession Marijuana - 200 block of W. 5th Street: At
3:25 p.m. officers responded to a domestic disturbance. Officers met with an
adult male who stated that he was having problems with a narcotic addiction.
The male’s mother was also on scene and confirmed the addiction. The male was
found to have active arrest warrants out of Forest Hill and was arrested.
During the search incident to arrest the male was found to be in possession of
marijuana. He was transported to jail for booking.
5/9 - Disorderly Conduct (Fighting) - 200 block of S. New Hope Road: At
6:31 p.m. officers responded to an assault call. Investigation revealed that the
event was actually a pre-arranged meeting for a fight between four juvenile
females who go to school together. There have apparently been incidents at
school of bullying from both sides of this group. Only two of the females who
showed up actually fought. They were issued citations for fighting in public.
Both combatants were released to their parents.
5/9 - Application for Mental Detention and
Observation - 1100 block of Greenview Lane: At 6:24 p.m. an officer responded
to a threat of suicide. The adult male had posted on a social media site that
he wanted to overdose on medication. After speaking to the male the officer made
an emergency mental detention and transported the male to JPS Hospital for
evaluation.
5/10 - Criminal Trespass - 5400
block of Kennedale Street: At 9:04 a.m. officers responded to a criminal
trespass complaint. Several homeless persons had set up a camp site earlier in
the month and had been warned in writing to leave. A female was found to be on
site and had an arrest warrant out of Cleburne as well as a criminal trespass
warning on file for the property. She was arrested and transported to jail for
booking. There were two other people present who had not been warned to stay
off of the property. They were given written criminal trespass warnings and
immediately left.
5/11 - Possession Drug Paraphernalia - 900 block of Wildcat Way: At 9:30
a.m. a school resource officer received information that a student had a “dab
pen” that is used to smoke THC. School staff removed the student from class and
brought him to the office. The student was in possession of the pen and produced
it to the officer. He was issued a citation for the paraphernalia.
