5/27 - No Driver’s License - 300 block of S. Dick Price Road: At 3:26 a.m.
an officer stopped a vehicle for speeding. The adult male driver had no license
in his possession. He gave a verbal identification to the officer along with
other identifying information. None of the information was related to the
driver. The driver stated that he had an out-of-state license but that state
could not confirm the driver’s identity from the information given. The driver
also stated that he was living at an address in Kennedale with a family member.
A check with the resident of that address revealed that the resident did not
know the suspect and no one else lived at the residence. The suspect was
arrested for the traffic offense and transported to jail for booking as well as
identity confirmation.
5/29 - Sexual Assault - 1000 block of Bell Oak Drive: At 1:49 a.m. officers
responded to a domestic dispute. A husband and wife had been in an argument
that became physical. Both persons exhibited injuries consistent with their own
version of events, including the wife’s accusation of a possible sexual assault
by the husband. Neither person wanted to press charges against the other. The
husband left the residence and the wife and children stayed in the home.
5/31 - Incident - 800 block of W. Kennedale Parkway: At 12:01 a.m. an
officer was advised of an unconscious male lying in the roadway. The male was
located by the officer. Upon regaining consciousness the male stated that he
had been assaulted and his car stolen. During the interview the victim
exhibited signs of impairment from alcohol or narcotics. He was agitated and
aggressive towards officers. Medics responded and transported him to Mansfield
Methodist Hospital. While being interviewed, the victim was unable to confirm
how he was injured and officers were able to locate his vehicle not far from
where he claimed it was stolen. The vehicle was unsecure and the keys were
still in it. Employees at the business told officers that a male matching the victim’s
description parked the vehicle earlier in the evening and walked away. The vehicle
was impounded for safe keeping while the victim is in the hospital.
5/31 - Abandoned Vehicle - 5300 block of Mansfield Highway: See above report.
5/31 - Theft $30,000 to $150,000 - 6900 block of Kennedale Parkway: At
10:14 a.m. a victim reported to police that a U-Haul rental truck had been
stolen from his business. The vehicle was taken during a 9 day period of time.
It was valued at $35,975.00.
6/01 - Criminal Mischief $100
to $750 - 300 block of Spring Branch Lane: At 2:21 p.m. a victim reported that
unknown person(s) smashed the driver side window on her 2000 Mazda truck. The
vehicle was parked in the driveway of the victim’s home. The offense occurred
between 1:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m.
6/01 - Forgery - 300 block of W. Kennedale Parkway: At 4:25 p.m. an officer
received a report of a counterfeit $100 bill. The bill had obvious signs of
tampering and was passed by a known customer. A video was given to the officer
of the customer passing the bill.
6/01 - Vehicle Burglary - 200 block of S. New Hope Road: At 7:38 p.m. a
victim reported that her unsecured vehicle was entered by unknown person(s) who
removed her wallet from the console. The suspect(s) made purchases on the
victim’s credit card before she had it shut off.
6/01 - Assault by Threat (Family Violence) - 6900 block of Mansfield
Cardinal Road: At 8:33 p.m. officers responded to a disturbance. Several males
and females who were living together in a residence had been in an argument.
There was no physical violence but two of the residents had threatened to harm a
third resident. One of the two suspects had fled before officers arrived. The
other stayed and spoke to officers but it could not be determined at the time
that the offense actually occurred.
6/01 - Possession of Drug
Paraphernalia - 7200 block of Bloxom Park Road: At 10:00 p.m. officers responded
to a report of shots fired. A caller stated that several shots were fired off next
to his business. Two males were located next door to the business but neither
one was in possession of a gun. One of the male did have a narcotics pipe and
was cited for the contraband.
6/02 - Hit and Run Accident - 300 block of Silver Oak Trail: At 12:00 p.m.
a victim reported that her 2001 Nissan was damaged while parked in front of her
home. During the daytime person(s) unknown struck the Nissan with an unknown vehicle.
