6/3 - Abandoned Vehicle - 6500 block of Hudson Village Creek Road: At 8:52
a.m. officers responded to an accident. On arrival a white GMC truck was
observed sitting on top of a pipe on the side of the road and was partially
blocking a traffic lane. The truck had extensive damage and was not drivable.
The owner could not be contacted and the vehicle was towed to impound as
abandoned.
6/3 - Injury to a Child - 100 block of Pine Meadow Drive: At 8:34 p.m. an
officer received a report of a child being abused by a step-father. The child
was brought to the police department by the biological father. A report was forwarded
to Child Protective Services.
6/5 - Death Investigation - 200 block of E. Mistletoe Drive: At 10:10
a.m. officers responded to a deceased person call. A deceased male had been
found by a family member. The death appeared to be self-inflicted.
6/5 - Vehicle Burglary - 1100 block of Greenview Lane: At 4:21 p.m. a
victim reported that person(s) unknown removed her purse from her possibly unsecured
vehicle. The vehicle had been parked on a school campus and the purse was placed
under the seat. No forced entry was observed. The purse contained
identification, cash, and credit/gift cards.
6/5 - Burglary - 200 block of Village Street: At 5:40 p.m. a victim reported
that person(s) unknown had entered a storage building on the KYA property and
removed a Kawasaki mule. The building was also damaged.
6/6 - Possession Control Substance - 5700 block of E IH 20: At 3:32 a.m.
an officer stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. During the interview the
driver was determined to be in possession of methamphetamine and a glass pipe
used to smoke the substance. The driver was arrested and transported to jail
for booking. The contraband was placed in evidence.
6/6 - Theft - $100 to $750 - 1000 block of N. Little School Road: At
10:30 a.m. a city worker reported that unknown person(s) removed an edger from
a work trailer. The trailer and truck were parked on Little School Road.
6/6 - Terroristic Threat - 400 block of Municipal Drive: At 4:54 p.m. an
unknown male called a city hall employee and stated that he had three pipe
bombs and was going to blow up a local business and a city building. A sweep of
all city buildings and the business in question revealed nothing out of the
ordinary. The number used to report the offense did not return to a traceable
individual. The case is still under investigation.
6/7 - Application for Mental Detention and Observation - 1400 block of Bordeaux
Crossing: At 1:47 a.m. an officer observed a vehicle driving through a
neighborhood. The vehicle was displaying an expired license plate and was
stopped. The driver stated to the officer that he was having “suicidal thoughts”
and was driving around to keep occupied. The driver displayed numerous fresh
cuts on his arms. The officer determined that the driver posed a threat to self
and detained him for an emergency mental evaluation. The driver was transported
to JPS Hospital.
6/7 - Violation of Bond/ Protective Order - 600 block of E. Kennedale
Parkway: At 1:06 p.m. officers responded to a report of a protective order
violation. A male suspect who was not allowed to be on the listed property had
been found sleeping there earlier. The suspect left before officers arrived.
6/8 - Theft - $2,500 to $30,000 - 700 block of W. Kennedale Parkway: At
12:22 p.m. a victim reported that his 16 foot flatbed trailer was stolen
earlier that day. The theft was captured on video and showed two males tow the
trailer away using a white Dodge truck.
6/9 - Violation of Bond/ Protective Order - 600 block of E. Kennedale
Parkway: At 4:53 a.m. officers responded to a protective order violation. A
homeowner reported that a male suspect had been at the home in violation of the
order. The suspect had fled before officers were contacted. The suspect was
located a short time later and taken into custody.
