6/10 - Theft $750 to $2,500 - 800 block of Pennsylvania Avenue: At 5:20 p.m. a victim reported that an unknown male removed the pool sweep unit without the victim’s permission. Security video showed the male suspect removing the sweep at 5:42 a.m. The unit was valued at $1,000.

 

6/10 - Sexual Assault - 100 block of Peachtree Court: At 7:01 p.m. an officer was contacted by Arlington Memorial Hospital in reference to a sexual assault. A 17 year old victim was in the emergency room and had made an outcry of a sexual assault that occurred earlier in the week. Due to the victim’s fragile emotional state, the officer decided not to attempt to interview the victim that evening. Transport was being arranged for a temporary stay in a psychiatric facility. The officer advised the victim’s mother to contact a detective sergeant when the victim was able to be interviewed.

 

6/11 - Fraudulent Use/Possession of Identifying Info - 1000 block of Estates Drive: At 9:21 a.m. a victim reported that unknown person(s) has used his identity to open fraudulent accounts and make purchases. The victim did not know how his information was obtained.

 

6/12 - Possession of Control Substance - 1200 block of E. Kennedale Parkway: At 11:57 p.m. an officer stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. The adult male driver was slow and lethargic when speaking to the officer. The driver was found to be in possession of heroin and stated that his behavior was from coming off of the narcotic. He was arrested for the contraband and transported to jail for booking. The heroin was placed in evidence.

 

6/12 - Possession of Control Substance - 6600 block of Oak Crest Dr. East: At 11:40 p.m. an officer stopped a vehicle for an equipment violation. The adult male driver was aware of the violation and stated he was going to repair it. A check of the driver revealed that he was wanted on a probation violation warrant for narcotics possession. During a search of the driver after being placed under arrest it was determined that he had Xanax on his person. During an inventory of the vehicle prior to impound it was discovered that the suspect was also in possession of heroin and cocaine. Jail personnel located more Xanax, cocaine, and heroin concealed on the suspect’s person when he arrived at the jail. The contraband was placed in evidence.

 

6/13 - Application for Mental Detention and Observation - 200 block of N. Dick Price Road: At 1:17 a.m. an officer was dispatched to a welfare check requested by MHMR help line personnel. A female was alleged to be assaulting a family member. On arrival the officer met with a family member of an adult female living at the residence. The family member stated that the adult female had been assaulting another person but there was no disturbance at present. The female was observed to be acting erratically and was speaking to non-existent persons. The female stated that she needed to go to JPS Hospital. She was detained and transported for an emergency mental detention.

 

6/13 - Theft $100 to $750 - 600 block of E. Kennedale Parkway: At 5:05 p.m. an officer responded to a domestic disturbance. An adult female stated that a known suspect had taken her rental car and some cash. The suspect was on scene but it was not determined if he had in fact taken anything. Detectives will continue the investigation.

 

6/14 - Possession of Control Substance - 5700 block of E. IH 20: At 12:20 a.m. an officer stopped a vehicle for an equipment violation. During the interview of the adult female driver and adult male passenger, it was discovered that the occupants were in possession of marijuana and Ecstasy. They were arrested and transported to jail for booking. The narcotics were placed in evidence.

         

6/14 - Burglary - 300 block of S. New Hope Road: At 5:35 p.m. a victim reported to police that she believes that maintenance personnel at her apartment unit may be removing food and medications from her home while she is not present. The case is open and under investigation.
