6/18 - Burglary - 100 block of Creekside Court: At 12:06 p.m. a report was
filed reference a burglary. The reporting party stated that her late father’s
safe in his residence had been opened. Person(s) unknown removed numerous items
of jewelry and coins worth several hundred dollars. The offense is alleged to have
occurred in the first week of June, 2018.
6/18 - Application for Mental Detention and Observation - 200 block of
Chateau Avenue: At 11:30 a.m. officers responded to an emotionally disturbed
person. An 86 year old male was on scene and was refusing to go back to his
dementia treatment facility. The male had been temporarily released from the
facility to his daughter. After a period of time, officers convinced the male
to voluntarily be committed to Sundance Hospital.
6/21 - Abandoned/ Found Property - 5600 block of E. IH 20: At 8:59 a.m. an
employee of Goodwill contacted police. A donation had been received the day
before. While going through the items, a .32 caliber Colt handgun was found
wrapped in paper. The weapon did not show to be stolen. It was entered in a
national database as lost. Officers are trying to locate the owner.
6/22 - Criminal Mischief $100 to $750 - 1100 block of Parkview Trail: At
8:08 p.m. a victim reported that two vehicles belonging to family members had
been vandalized. Person(s) unknown had sprayed purple spray paint on the
vehicle while they were parked in the driveway.
6/23 - Vehicle Burglary - 200 block of 4th Street: At 8:31 p.m.
a victim reported that person(s) unknown had entered his unlocked vehicle while
it was parked in front of his home. Several items were taken including a cell
phone. A trace on the cell phone showed that it turned onto the system at a
residence a short distance away. Officers went to the location but no one was
home.
