7/22 - Driving While Intoxicated - 400 block of S. New Hope Road: At 11:37
p.m. an officer observed a vehicle run a stop sign and driving erratically.
Upon stopping the vehicle, which pulled into a residence driveway, it was
discovered that the adult female driver had been drinking. The driver was
unable to successfully complete a field sobriety assessment and was arrested
for DWI. She was transported to jail for booking and refused to voluntarily
give a blood sample. A search warrant was obtained for a mandatory blood draw
and the blood was entered into evidence. .
7/22 - Public Intoxication - 1100 block of Border Lane: At 12:40 a.m.
officers responded to a disturbance. An intoxicated adult male was observed in
the street when officers arrived. The male had been in a nearby residence but
was forced to leave by the other occupants due to his intoxication and aggresive
behavior. The male had apparently attempted to assault several persons at the
residence. He was placed under arrest and transported jail for booking.
7/23 - Incident - 100 block of Peachtree Court: At 1:56 a.m. an officer
observed a known suspect who was wanted on a felony warrant for Possession of a
Controlled Substance in a Correctional Facility. The suspect had been arrested
earlier on the month and was found to be in possession of methamphetamine. Once
he was transported to jail, detention personnel found more of the narcotic on
the suspect during booking. That was the incident that resulted in the warrant
being issued. On this date the suspect attempted to flee into his home from his
vehicle but was stopped by the arresting officer. He was arrested and
transported to jail for booking.
7/23 - Fraudulent Use/ Possession of Identifying Info - 300 block of Bowles
Court: At 2:50 p.m. a victim reported that an unknown person used the victim’s
identifying information to open an account with Spectrum/Charter Cable. The
account was opened in Palmview, Texas but the victim lives in Kennedale. The victim
was made aware through a collections call from a credit agency regarding an
unpaid bill.
7/24 - Hit and Run Accident - 600 block of N. Dick Price Road: At 8:19 p.m.
officers responded to a hit and run accident. A vehicle was observed in a ditch
and a section of private fence had been damaged. Witnesses stated that the
female driver had left the scene before officers arrived. The inside of the
vehicle smelled of an alcoholic beverage but no containers were located.
Dispatched advised the officer that a caller stated that the driver had been
dropped off at a home further down Dick Price Road. An officer was able to
locate the female, who was inside her home and drinking an alcoholic beverage.
The female did admit to driving the vehicle and stated that she left to contact
her boyfriend about the accident. The female accompanied the officer back to
the scene and a report was made.
7/25 - Credit/ Debit Card Abuse - 1200 block of W. Kennedale Parkway: At
1:28 p.m. a victim reported that one of his company employees had used a company
gas credit card for personal expenses. The employee had been terminated at the time
of the report.
7/25 - Criminal Trespass - 900 block of Shady Creek Drive: At 12:15 p.m. a
victim reported that a neighbor that she has had an ongoing dispute with had
trespassed on her property. The neighbor had been issued formal trespass
warning to stay off of the property. The victim had security video of the
neighbor on the property again.
7/25 - Missing Person (Adult) - 400 block of Kevin Miller Road: At 9:19
p.m. a female contacted police to report that her adult son was missing and
could not be contacted. A male friend had called to say that the missing male’s
cell phone was found in a ditch by the Walmart on Little Road and U.S. 287. A
report was made and the missing person was entered into a national missing
database.
7/25 - Cruelty to Livestock Animals - 6900 block of E. Kennedale Parkway: On
July 24th, Animal Control received multiple complaints of animal
cruelty at a local business. After receiving written statements from the
complaining witnesses, an investigation was conducted. The statements indicated
numerous injured and dead animals were present on site, and conditions were not
healthy for the animals to be in. The Humane Society of North Texas was called by
Animal Control as a consulting partner.
7/28 - Fraudulent Use/ Possession of Identifying Info - 500 block of Oak
Forest Court: At 9:47 p.m. a victim reported that her identifying information
was compromised when she responded to a scam e-mail. The e-mail appeared to be
from PayPal asking her to update her information. The victim stated that she
knew it was a scam when she was asked for her credit card information.
