7/30 - Theft $100 to $750 - 1300 block of Mountain View Lane: At 4:49 p.m. an officer received a report of a stolen water meter. A homeowner reported that he came home and discovered the water not working. The meter was completely gone from the water main connection. The city’s Public Works section was notified.

 

7/30 - Assault Bodily Injury (Family Violence) - 400 block of Mansfield Cardinal Road: At 10:18 p.m. officers responded to a domestic disturbance. An adult female victim reported that she had been assaulted by her adult male boyfriend. A witness confirmed the victim’s story and the male was arrested for the assault. He was transported to jail for booking.

 

7/31 - Criminal Mischief $750 to $2,500 - 300 block of Mansfield Cardinal Road: At 8:00 a.m. a victim discovered that her 2005 Dodge Van had been entered overnight. Nothing was missing but the vehicle was damaged.

 

8/01 - Theft $750 to $2,500 - 500 block of N. Little School Road: At 10:50 a.m. a victim reported that items had been stolen from her late father’s residence. A 1984 bass boat and motor was missing as well as an air conditioning unit for the house and a new wheelchair.

 

8/02 - Theft $2,500 to $30,000 - 400 block of Kate Circle: At 10:24 a.m. a victim reported that person(s) unknown had stolen an enclosed trailer with two ATVs inside. The trailer was homemade and the ATVs were valued at $10,600.

 

8/02 - Theft of Service under $100 - 500 block of North Road: At 7:48 p.m. a victim reported that his neighbor had been stealing electricity from him. The victim showed the officer an outdoor extension cord that ran from a outdoor plug on the victim’s home to the neighbor’s home. The neighbor was not at home at the time.

 

8/02 - Theft $750 to $2,500 - 300 block of W. Third Street: At 11:16 a.m. a victim reported that a known suspect had stolen his laptop computer and pawned it at a local pawn shop. The computer was valued at $1851.03. The victim had managed to regain possession of the item but wanted to make a report of the theft.

 

8/04 - Assault by Threat (Family Violence) - 700 block of W. Kennedale Parkway: At 10:30 p.m. a male victim reported that a male family member had threatened to harm him. The two were in an argument over the victim not buying more beer for the suspect, who was intoxicated. The suspect was not present at the time of the report.

 

8/04 - Aggravated Robbery - 800 block of Trent Street: At 10:26 p.m. officers responded to a shooting call. On arrival a male victim was located on the ground with a bullet wound to the back. Paramedics responded and transported the victim to JPS Hospital. There were three other males present who were not injured. It was determined that two suspects in a gold Suburban drove by the shop building while the four males were playing cards. The suspects, both holding firearms, exited the Suburban and entered at the rear of the building. The suspects announced a robbery and the gunshot victim stood up and ran from the building. One of the suspects chased the victim outside and fired at least two shots, striking the victim in the back. The suspect returned and, after taking the other victims money, both suspects left via a front bay door.
