10/07 - Incident - 5900 block
of Eden Rd. East: At 3:00 p.m. an officer received a complaint of a suspicious white
van approaching a child in a driveway. The complainant reported that her 10
year old son was asked by the driver of the van if he wanted some dog treats.
The driver threw the treats on the ground before driving off. No other
information was available at the time of the report.
10/08 - Possession Control
Substance - 1000 block of Corry A. Edwards Drive: At 8:11 a.m. an officer
observed a vehicle that had multiple warrants attached to the license for a
male subject. Upon stopping the vehicle the male driver gave a name that did
not match the name on the warrants. After further investigation it was
determined that the male was in fact using two names and the warrants were for
his arrest. He was arrested for a Tarrant County warrant for Possession of
Controlled Substance, Parole Violation, for traffic warrants from Arlington
P.D., and for Fail to Identify (Fugitive). During the interview the male was
also found to have methamphetamine in his vehicle and he was charged with that
offense as well. He was transported to jail for booking.
10/08 - Burglary - 3800 block
of Kennedale New Hope Road: At 12:58 p.m. officers responded to a burglary in
progress call. A property owner had observed a suspicious vehicle on his
business property and called police when he found a door open on a storage
building. Two male juveniles were located on the property and detained. No
property was determined to be missing but the building did sustain damage. The suspects
were transported to the police department and were released to the custody of a
parent. A case will be referred to the juvenile court system.
10/11 - Abandoned/ Found
Property - 600 block of Kennedale Sublett Road: At 6:50 p.m. a complainant
reported finding a wallet in the middle of the roadway. The wallet contained
identification and credit cards. The officer was unable to contact the owner
and the wallet was booked into property for safe keeping.
10/11 - Assault Bodily Injury
- 900 block of Corry A. Edwards Drive: At 12:15 p.m. a school resource officer
received a report of an assault that took place in a male locker room on
10-09-2018. The assault occurred after athletic practice. A male student was assaulted
by several other students over a disagreement. An assault case will be referred
for prosecution.
10/12 - Burglary - 300 block of
3rd Street: At 11:07 a.m. a victim reported that her laptop computer
was taken from her home. The item was located in the living room on a couch. It
was taken during the overnight hours.
10/12 – Recovered Stolen
Vehicle - 200 block of W. Kennedale Parkway: At 10:02 a.m. an officer stopped a
vehicle for an equipment violation. The adult male driver identified himself
with a Mexican driver’s license. The pick-up truck he was driving had numerous
catalytic convertors in the bed and there were numerous vehicle titles observed
when the male opened the glove box for his insurance. The driver stated that he
had the parts and the titles as he does work for a friend that involves towing
cars to Mexico to sell for parts. The officer contacted an auto theft task
force investigator to respond to the location. It was determined that the VIN
had been switched out on the truck and that it was stolen out of Fort Worth.
The trailer being towed by the truck was also mismarked and possibly stolen.
Both the truck and trailer were impounded by the task force investigator and
the driver was turned over to him as well.
