10/14 - Possession Control
Substance - 300 block of Arthur Drive: At 1:49 a.m. an officer observed a suspicious
vehicle in a neighborhood. After parking at a residence for a short period of
time, the vehicle left and drove toward Interstate 20 on Kennedale Parkway. The
officer followed the vehicle and observed several traffic violations. Upon
stopping the vehicle the adult male driver was asked to step from the vehicle
in order to submit to a field sobriety assessment. The officer observed a small
bag of what appeared to be methamphetamine in the driver seat of the vehicle.
The adult female passenger was asked to exit the vehicle as well. The officer
discovered more methamphetamine as well as paraphernalia in the vehicle. Both
persons were arrested for the contraband and were transported to jail for booking.
The contraband was placed in evidence.
10/14 - Animal Bite - 900
block of Corry A. Edwards – At 9:48 a.m. officers responded to a complaint of a
dog bite. An adult male victim reported that a white dog had approached him
from behind and bit him on the leg. This caused the victim to stumble and fall,
scraping his knees. The animal ran back to a nearby residence. The owner was contacted
and provided proof of current rabies vaccination. The animal was ordered to be quarantined
and the case will be referred to the Animal Control Officer for follow-up.
10/14 - Assault Bodily Injury
(Family Violence) - 1200 block of W. Kennedale Parkway: At 2:25 p.m. officers
responded to a domestic disturbance. A male and female were arguing over child
custody when the male grabbed the child and began to walk away. The female
attempted to stop him when he pushed her back forcibly and continued walking
toward Forest Hill. The male and child were located at a Valero gas station on
Mansfield highway. The male denied being physical but the female did have marks
consistent with the assault report. There was no court agreement in place and
the custody arrangement was found to be verbal only. The male was arrested for
the assault and the child was returned to the mother.
10/15 - Incident - 7000 block
of Hudson Village Creek Road: At 9:26 a.m. officers responded to a report of
identity theft. A female victim reported that an unknown person had opened a
charge account at Home Depot using her information.
10/16 - Assault (Family Violence)
- 600 block of E. Kennedale Parkway: At 5:09 p.m. an officer responded to a
report of assault (family violence). A known adult male suspect came to his
parents’ home and assaulted his father by striking him in the head. The suspect
damaged the home in an attempt to remove property. The suspect then left before
police were called. There is an active protective order for the suspect not to
be at the residence. Investigators will follow-up.
10/17 - Public Intoxication -
900 block of Shady Oaks Drive: At 1:19 a.m. officers responded to a domestic
disturbance. The officers were met by a 20 year old female who exited the residence,
which belonged to her grandparents. The female was intoxicated on alcohol and
was speaking almost incoherently. The grandparents refused to take custody of
the female as she is violent when intoxicated. She was arrested and transported
to jail for booking.
10/17 - Silent Abuse Call/ Electronic
Communication to 911 Service - 900 block of Corry A. Edwards Drive: At 10:05
a.m. a school resource officer was notified of a 911 call coming from the
school phone system. A juvenile female student had made numerous calls to 911
without communicating with the call taker and then hanging up. The student was released
to her mother. The case will be referred to the Tarrant County Juvenile Justice
Center.
10/17 - Assault Bodily Injury
(Family Violence) - 500 block of North Road: At 2:58 p.m. officers responded to
an assault report. An adult male suspect had assaulted both of his grandparents
during an altercation. The assault caused the grandparents to be transported to
the hospital for treatment. The suspect was arrested and transported to jail
for booking.
10/18 – Manufacture/Delivery
of Controlled Substance - 500 block of E. Kennedale Parkway: At 11:23 p.m. an
officer stopped a vehicle for multiple traffic violations. The adult male
driver appeared to be intoxicated and was unable to successfully complete a
field sobriety assessment. An adult female was also in the vehicle and was
asleep until officers woke her up. The female at first gave a false name until
her driver’s license was located with the correct information on it along with
her photo. Both subjects were found to be in possession of methamphetamine and
hashish as well as equipment used to distribute narcotics. Both were placed
under arrest and transported to jail for booking. The contraband was placed in
evidence.
10/19 – Vehicle Burglary - 1200
block of Forest Green Drive: At 5:17 p.m. a victim reported that unknown person(s)
removed a tailgate and back-up camera from a Ford F-150 truck. The items were
valued at $2,000.
10/19 – Theft $750 to $2,500
- 300 block of S. Dick Price Road: At 2:24 p.m. a victim reported that unknown
person(s) came onto his property and removed his work trailer. The trailer was
secured to a pole at the time of the theft.
10/19 – Hit and Run Accident
- 800 block of Woodland Court: At
7:36 a.m. a victim reported that an unknown vehicle had driven into his
driveway from the street. The unknown vehicle struck his 2006 Nissan, causing
$3,000 in damage. The vehicle drove away from the scene.
