10/21 - Incident - 500 block of North Road: At 3:27 p.m. officers
responded to a threat report. A male stated that earlier in the day an unknown
female had driven up to his residence and asked to speak to the reporting
person’s girlfriend. When the girlfriend came outside the female exited the vehicle
and made several threats toward the resident female. The threats were
reportedly the result of a dispute over money from earlier in the month. No
violence occurred and the female left.
10/21 - Driving While
Intoxicated - 4800 block of S. Dick Price Road: At 7:58 p.m. officers responded
to a report of an accident involving an intoxicated driver. The driver had left
the scene and was driving south on Dick Price Road. An officer observed the
vehicle, a gray GMC Yukon, and was able to get it stopped. The adult male driver
smelled of alcoholic beverage and appeared to be intoxicated. He was unable to
successfully complete a field sobriety assessment and was placed under arrest for
DWI. He was transported to a local hospital for a blood draw. After the blood
draw he was transported to jail for booking.
10/22 - Incident - 300 block of
W. Fourth Street: At 5:22 p.m. a female reported to police that she had located
prescription medications in her juvenile son’s possessions. The medications did
not belong to the juvenile and he admitted to stealing the items from a neighborhood
vehicle. The medication was returned to the rightful owner. The case is being
reviewed by investigators.
10/23 - Application for
Mental Detention and Observation - 900 block of Wildcat Way: At 3:32 p.m.
officers responded to a general disturbance at Kennedale High School. A juvenile
student with behavioral disabilities had become upset and assaulted school
staff. The student was detained and transported to JPS Hospital for an
emergency detention.
10/23 - Assault (Family
Violence) (Impede Breath/ Circulation) - 100 block of Briarwood Road: At 8:23
p.m. officers responded to a domestic disturbance. A female victim reported
that her boyfriend (suspect) and she were arguing earlier in the day when the
suspect began choking her. The suspect then left and took their 1 year old
daughter with him. The victim stated she wanted her child returned and
requested an emergency protective order. Investigators are following up on the
case.
10/24 - Criminal Trespass - 1200
block of Falcon View Drive: At 10:53 p.m. officers responded to a suspicious
persons report. Two males, aged 16 and 25, were located in a home under
construction. The males had met via a phone app and text messages. The older
male is a registered sex offender and the juvenile lived in the area. Both
subjects were charged with criminal trespass. The adult male was transported to
jail for booking.
10/25 - Criminal Mischief $100
to $750 - 1200 block of Elmbrook Drive: At 12:00 a.m. officers responded to an
investigation report. A male victim reported that his vehicle, a 2018 Chevrolet
truck, was damaged by the estranged husband of a female friend. The victim reported
that he was visiting the female friend when her estranged husband arrived at
the residence unannounced. When they refused to allow him entry he left. The victim
believes that the husband threw a rock into his windshield and caused the
damage before leaving.
10/26 - Burglary - 1700 block
of Stags Leap Trail: At 8:29 a.m. a victim reported that unknown person(s)
forced entry into a home under construction. Suspect(s) removed $3,500 in
appliances from the site as well as caused $1,000 in damage.
10/26 – Hit and Run Accident -
300 block of Pennsylvania Avenue: On this date a victim reported to officers
that his vehicle was struck from behind by an unknown driver in a green SUV.
The driver failed to stop and provide insurance information.
10/26 - Application for
Mental Detention and Observation - 1100 block of W. Kennedale Parkway: At 10:52
p.m. officers responded to a suspicious person call. A male was located outside
of a business. The male seemed confused and gave conflicting answers to
officers’ questions. He stated that he was supposed to be on medication but
could not tell officers what the medication was. He was transported to JPS Hospital
for an emergency mental detention.
10/27 - Deadly Conduct (Discharge
Firearm) - 700 block of Woodland Court: At 7:01 a.m. officers responded to a report
of shots fired. Officers responded at that time but were unable to locate the
damage due to low light conditions and no one present to point out which
residence the shots came from. At 9:24 a.m. officers responded to a witness’s
report of vehicle damage. The witness reported that unknown suspect(s) had shot
multiple rounds into a vehicle parked in a driveway as well as fired several
shots at the residence. The vehicle was not present but the witness reported
that it did have numerous holes from the rounds fired. The witness provided
officers with photos of the vehicle, a white Chrysler. The witness reported
that the resident had left with friends at approximately 8:30 a.m. in the
damaged vehicle. It was discovered that none of the shots penetrated the
residence wall due to the brick construction. The shell casings were collected
for evidence and photos of the residence were taken. This offense may be the
result of an earlier offense in Arlington. Investigators are following up.
