11/4 - Driving While Intoxicated - 400 block of Mansfield Cardinal Road: At
12:55 a.m. officers responded to a report of a vehicle in a ditch. Two females
were with the vehicle and contact was made with a female who stated she was the
driver. The female appeared to have been drinking and was unable to
successfully complete a field sobriety assessment. She was arrested for DWI and
transported to a hospital for a blood draw. She was then taken to jail for
booking.
11/4 - Possession Control Substance/Possession Marijuana/ Parole Violation - 500 block of North Road:
At 4:30 a.m. officers were patrolling a neighborhood when they observed a
vehicle that belonged to a female who had an active parole violation arrest
warrant issued out of Tarrant County. Upon making contact with the resident it
was determined that the wanted person was in a back bedroom of the home.
Officers located her hiding in the bathroom shower. She was placed under arrest
and was found to be in possession of both marijuana and methamphetamine. She
was transported to jail for booking. The narcotics were placed in evidence.
11/4 - Theft $100 to $750 - 400 block of Susan Drive: At 12:00 p.m. a
victim reported to police that her backyard shed had been illegally entered.
One item valued at $300.00 had been removed. The victim named a possible known suspect.
11/4 - Assault (Bodily Injury) (Family Violence) - 500 block of North Road:
At 4:27 p.m. officers responded to a domestic disturbance. Two female roommates
had been arguing when the suspect became physical and attempted to keep the
victim from leaving the residence. The victim was located in another nearby residence
that was occupied by her parents. The suspect was placed under arrest for the assault
and transported to jail. She was also charged with two outstanding warrants
from Grand Prairie.
11/4 - Assault (Bodily Injury) (Family Violence) - 100 block of Peachtree
Court: At 2:56 p.m. officers responded to a domestic disturbance. A female
reported that her 16 year old son had assaulted her as she tried to prevent him
from leaving the house. The son left out of a side door as the officers arrived
at the front. A warrant will be issued for his detention.
11/5 - Delivery of Marijuana - 3700 block of Kennedale New Hope Road: At
1:20 a.m. officers stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. The vehicle
interior smelled of marijuana. The adult male driver was found to be in possession
of marijuana and THC oil as well as paraphernalia used to distribute the drugs.
He was arrested and transported to jail for booking.
11/5 - Theft of Materials ALUM/BRNZ/COPPER/BRASS - 500 block of W.
Kennedale Parkway: At 9:00 a.m. a victim reported that unknown persons had
entered her property that morning at 1:51 a.m. and removed rolls of copper wire
valued at $4,000.00. The theft was observed on security cameras on the
property.
11/5 - Incident - 6600 block of Hudson Village Creek Road: At 2:00 p.m. an
officer responded to a noise complaint. A citizen filed a complaint about noise
from a nearby raceway. The complainant provided a written statement and copies
of sound readings that she had taken.
11/6 - Fraudulent Use/Possession of Identifying Info - 5600 block of IH 20
Service Road: At 12:00 a.m. an officer observed a vehicle commit a traffic violation.
Upon stopping that vehicle the adult female driver stated that she had borrowed
the vehicle from a friend but could not provide any contact information. The
vehicle, a 2018 GMC truck, was registered to U-Haul but had no decals. The
decal outlines were visible on the paint where they had been removed. The
driver was arrested for the traffic offense and the vehicle was impounded to be
held for the Tri-County Auto Theft Task Force. She was also charged with
possessing four credit cards belonging to an unknown female. The cards were in
her purse.
11/6 - Incident - 900 block of Corry A. Edwards Drive: At 9:00 a.m. a
school resource officer at the junior high school was informed that faculty had
found a student to be in possession of written documents outlining the robbery
of a big box retailer. The student lives in Arlington. The case has been turned
over to investigators.
11/8 - Delivery of a Controlled Substance, Unlawfully Carrying Weapon - 1200
block of W. Kennedale Parkway: At 12:00 a.m. officers stopped a vehicle for an
expired registration. The adult male was found to have outstanding arrest
warrants from Kennedale. He was placed under arrest for the warrants. When the
driver exited his vehicle officers observed a small bag in the driver side floorboard.
The bag contained what was later determined to be cocaine. Officers also
located paraphernalia used to distribute narcotics. The driver was transported
to jail for booking.
11/8 – Theft $2,500 to $30,000
- 700 block of W. Kennedale Parkway: At 7:30 a.m. a victim reported to police
that unknown person(s) entered his business property overnight. Tools valued at
$5,300.00 were taken.
11/8 - Application for Mental Detention and Observation - 800 block of
Shady Creek Drive: At 11:20 a.m. officers responded to a report of a suspicious
person. An adult female was observed sitting in the street and tearing up mail.
It was determined that the female did not live in the area and was tearing up
mail from a nearby mailbox. The female’s actions and statements were erratic
and she was determined to be having some type of mental episode. She was
detained and transported to JPS Hospital for a mental evaluation.
11/8 - Assault (Bodily Injury) - 300 block of Pennsylvania Avenue: At 4:09
p.m. officers responded to a disturbance. A bus driver reported that a fight
had occurred. Officers interviewed several juveniles who stated that a fight
had occurred. When a male student attempted to stop the fight he was knocked down
and assaulted by another student. Several of the students had already gotten
off of the bus. A case has been referred to investigators. The victim’s mother
stated she would take him for medical treatment.
11/10 - Driving While
Intoxicated - 700 block of E. Kennedale Parkway: At 1:21 a.m. an officer
stopped a vehicle for an equipment violation. The adult male driver appeared to
have been drinking and was unable to successfully complete a field sobriety
assessment. The driver was arrested for DWI. He was transported to jail for
booking and a blood draw.
11/10 - Incident - 4700 block
of Anglin Drive: At 3:41 a.m. officers were dispatched to a hit and run
accident. The vehicle was located in Forest Hill on Anglin Drive. The adult
male driver was passed out behind the wheel and had difficulty waking up. The
male kept reaching for the console of the vehicle but could not stay awake long
enough to reach what he was looking for. After finally getting the male alert enough
to open the vehicle door it was determined that he had several outstanding arrest
warrants from Lewisville. The driver was also in possession of marijuana and a
.380 caliber handgun. The handgun was located in the area where the driver had
been reaching for earlier. He was arrested and transported to jail for booking.
11/10 - Driving While
Intoxicated with a Child under 15 - 100 block of N. New Hope Road: At 5:35 p.m.
an officer responded to a report of an intoxicated driver. The vehicle was
located and stopped. The adult male driver and his adult female passenger
appeared to have been drinking heavily. The female had vomited in the front
seat of the vehicle. The driver was unable to successfully complete a field
sobriety assessment and was placed under arrest. Also occupying the vehicle’s
back seat were two small children, ages two and three. They were checked by
paramedics and then turned over to a family member who responded to the scene.
The female was arrested for public intoxication.
11/10 - Theft $2,500 to $30,000
- 1400 block of J.R. Hawkins Road: At 10:03 p.m. a victim reported that a
possible known suspect has entered her home and removed jewelry. No value was
given for the missing items.
11/10 - Incident - 600 block of
Wildcat Way: At 2:00 p.m. officers stopped a vehicle pulling an unlicensed
trailer. The driver had no paperwork for the trailer and it appeared to have
been recently painted. No VIN was located. The trailer was impounded for
further investigation by the Auto Theft Task Force.
11/10 - Forgery of Financial
Instrument - 1100 block of Greenview Lane: On this date a victim reported that
a known person had stolen checks and had written them out to herself. The bank
notified the victim about the checks and the account was frozen. Investigators
are following up.
