11/11 - Driving While
Intoxicated - 3700 block of Kennedale New Hope Road: At 1:50 a.m. an officer
stopped a vehicle for erratic driving. The adult male driver appeared to be
intoxicated and was unable to successfully complete a field sobriety
assessment. The driver was arrested and transported to jail for booking. The
driver refused to give a voluntary blood sample. A warrant was secured to
obtain the sample.
11/11 - Possession Control
Substance - 800 block of Woodland Court: At 7:29 p.m. an officer stopped a
vehicle for a registration violation. The adult male driver and adult female
passenger identified themselves and were asked to exit the vehicle. During the
initial contact the officer observed a glass pipe used to smoke narcotics in plain
view the vehicle. It was determined during the interview and subsequent search
that the female was in possession of methamphetamine as well as Vicodin,
Hydrocodone, and Xanax tablets. The female was arrested and transported to jail
for booking. The narcotics were placed in evidence.
11/12 - Vehicle Burglary - 800
block of Pennsylvania Avenue: At 11:50 a.m. a victim reported to police that
his work vehicle was burglarized several days earlier while on a job. Security
video showed a suspect vehicle pull alongside the parked and unoccupied vehicle.
One suspect entered the victim’s vehicle and removed tools. The value was
placed at $300.00.
11/12 – Theft Under $100 - 900
block of Shady Oaks Drive: At 6:15 p.m. a victim reported that her trailer
plates were stolen during the day. It was unknown when the plates were missing
except between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.
11/12 – Assault (Bodily
Injury) - 700 block of W. Kennedale Parkway: At 2:17 p.m. a victim reported
that he was assaulted by two males driving a vehicle. At 12:30 p.m. the suspects
were attempting to leave a business without paying for services. When the
victim tried to stop them from leaving by blocking their exit, the suspects
struck the victim with their vehicle, causing bruising to his legs. The suspect
had his injuries evaluated at a local hospital before coming to police.
11/14 - Online Solicitation
of a Minor - 900 block of Wildcat Way: At 9:50 a.m. school staff reported to
police that a 16 year old female student had been sending sexually explicit
photos to a twenty-six year old adult male. The victim’s guardian was interviewed
and gave police permission to examine the victim’s cell phone. The case is
being investigated by detectives.
11/14 - Assault (Family
Violence) - 6700 block of Oak Crest Drive W.: At 6:41 p.m. a victim reported
that she had been assaulted by a known male suspect while dropping her mother
off at church. The suspect approached the victim as she pulled up and punched
her with a closed fist through a partially open window. The victim attempted to
flee but was chased by the suspect in his vehicle. The suspect left before
police arrived. He currently has an open family violence assault in Fort Worth
that involves his attacking the same female victim.
11/15 - Unlawful Carrying
Weapon - 100 block of New Hope Road: At 11:28 p.m. an officer stopped a vehicle
for a traffic violation. During the interview of the adult male driver and
passenger, it was discovered that they were in possession of marijuana,
psilocybin mushrooms, and a .40 caliber handgun. The passenger also had active
arrest warrants issued for him. Both were placed under arrest and transported
to jail for booking.
11/17 - Recover Stolen
Vehicle - 5600 block of E. IH 20: At 7:38 a.m. an officer observed an abandoned
vehicle on the service road. The plate attached to the vehicle was stolen out
of Arlington. The VIN showed the vehicle to be an Arlington stolen as well. The
vehicle was impounded to be held for Arlington police.
11/17 - Driving While
Intoxicated - 1300 block of W. Kennedale Parkway: At 7:10 p.m. an officer stopped
a vehicle for excessive speed. The driver appeared to be intoxicated and was
unable to successfully complete a field sobriety assessment. The driver was
transported to jail for a voluntary blood draw and booking.
