11/19 - Possession of Control
Substance - 800 block of N. Dick Price Road: At 11:58 p.m. an officer stopped a
vehicle for a registration violation. The driver had multiple arrest warrants
out of Fort Worth and was placed under arrest. Inside the driver side door
track was a bag of methamphetamine. The driver was charged with the narcotics
as well as the outstanding arrest warrants. He was transported to jail for
booking.
11/20 - Unlawful Possession of
Firearm by Felon - 5300 block of Mansfield Highway: At 3:12 a.m. an officer
stopped a vehicle for an expired registration. Upon contacting the adult male
driver and adult female passenger, the officer observed the passenger to have
an open container of alcoholic beverage in her lap. Upon interviewing the
occupants it was determined that there was a bag of marijuana and a narcotics
pipe in plain view. There was also a stolen 9mm handgun in the back seat area
of the vehicle. The male, who had 8 felony convictions, was arrested for the marijuana
and the illegal possession of the handgun. The female was arrested for the
paraphernalia (pipe). Both were transported to jail for booking.
11/20 - Incident (other) - 300
block of S. New Hope Road: At 9:11 a.m. a complainant reported that she had
received a video from a Facebook friend of two males, possibly juveniles, being
beaten severely. The complainant did not have a phone number or address for the
friend who sent the video because she only knows him through Facebook. She only
knew that the friend lives out of state.
11/19 - Theft - 600 block of
Joy Lane: At 9:43 p.m. an officer received a report of two stolen handguns. The
handguns were stolen from a residence. The home owner was able to identify a
possible suspect.
11/21 - Unlawful Possession
of Firearm by Felon – 5400 block of Link Street: At 2:25 a.m. an officer
stopped a vehicle for a DWI investigation. The vehicle was occupied by two
adult males and one adult female. The female was found to have an out-of-state
arrest warrant for drug charges. The male driver was found to be in possession
of a shotgun found in the back seat of the vehicle. The male had multiple
felony convictions and was not allowed to possess a firearm. Both subjects were
arrested and transported to jail for booking.
11/21 – Animal Cruelty - 6800
block of Oak Crest Drive E.: At 8:43 a.m. a utility worker contacted Kennedale
Animal Services to report a sick dog. The dog was tied to a pole on the porch of
the residence and appeared to be in need of food and water. A second dog was
located in a car port on the property. The Humane Society responded to take
possession of the animals and get them treated by a veterinarian. The homeowner
was present and gave verbal release of the animals to the Humane Society
investigator.
11/21 – Theft $750 to $2,500
- 800 block of Grapevine Trail: At 10:48 a.m. a victim reported to police that
a black two-axle utility trailer had been stolen from his business. The trailer
was valued at $1,500.00. Video of the theft was provided to police.
11/21 - Possession of Control
Substance - 200 block of W. Kennedale Parkway: At 9:15 p.m. an officer stopped
a vehicle for no tail lights. During the interview it was determined that a
female occupant of the vehicle was in possession of methamphetamine. She was
arrested for the narcotics and transported to jail for booking.
11/23 - Abandoned/ Found
Property - 5800 block of E. IH 20: At 10:36 a.m. an officer responded to a complaint
of an abandoned boat. The boat had been tagged by another officer earlier in
the month. The boat was impounded.
11/25 – Theft $2,500 to $30,000
- 400 block of Kate Circle: At 4:42 p.m. a victim reported that his trailer and
lawn equipment had been stolen from a friend’s property. The items were stolen
between July 30 and August 2 of this year. They were valued at $10,450.00.
11/24 – Assist Other Agency -
2000 block of Callender Road: At 1:30 a.m. an officer assisted Mansfield police
in attempting to stop a possible DWI. The vehicle driver failed to yield to the
police vehicles and continued into Burleson. The male driver stopped and
abandoned his vehicle, running into a wooded park. It was later learned that
the driver had active arrest warrants issued for him.
11/24 – Theft $100 to $750 - 1100
block of Greenview Lane: At 6:54 p.m. a victim reported that unknown person(s)
removed his lawnmower from his garage. The mower was valued at $359.00.
