11/25 - Driving While Intoxicated (Open Alcohol Container) - 4900 block of Miller Avenue: At 2:54 a.m. an officer observed a vehicle being driven erratically. The adult male driver spoke no English and a Fort Worth officer later arrived to assist in translation. The driver smelled of an alcoholic beverage. He was unable to successfully complete a field sobriety assessment. The driver was arrested and transported to jail for booking and a blood draw.

 

11/25 - Assault (Family Violence) (Impede Breath/ Circulation) - 100 block of Pine Meadow Drive: At 5:49 p.m. officers responded to a domestic disturbance. On arrival officers spoke to a male and female who had been in a physical altercation. The investigation revealed that the female (victim) had attempted to stop the male (suspect) from hurting himself with a knife and was assaulted by the suspect. The suspect  choked the victim when she intervened. The suspect was arrested for the assault and was transported to jail for booking.

 

11/25 - Possession of Control Substance - 200 block of W. Kennedale Parkway: At 9:09 p.m. officers responded to a suspicious person call. A male was sitting in a restaurant and was refusing to leave so that the business could close for the night. The male was escorted out by officers, who interviewed him further. He was found to be in possession of marijuana and methamphetamine. The male was arrested and transported to jail for booking.

 

11/25 – Theft $2,500 to $30,000 - 1200 block of N. Little School Road: At 4:33 p.m. police responded to a report of a theft. A single male suspect had entered a business and removed three display cell phones that were for sale. The units were valued at $2,950.00.

 

11/27 – Manufacture/Delivery of Control Substance - 5300 block of Mansfield Highway: At 2:03 a.m. an officer stopped a vehicle for traffic violations. The adult male driver and adult female passenger were removed from the vehicle when a narcotic was observed in plain view in the driver’s door handle pocket. Both subjects were found to be in possession of methamphetamine. The female stated that she had come to Kennedale to sell methamphetamine. She was arrested for delivery of a controlled substance as well as a Fort Worth warrant for possession of controlled substance. The male was also arrested for possession and both were transported to jail for booking.

 

11/28 - Burglary - 1000 block of W. Kennedale Parkway: At 10:25 a.m. an officer received a report of a burglary. A male suspect had been observed on security video removing batteries from the business while it was closed. The suspect may be known to the business manager.

 

11/28 – Theft $100 to $750 - 700 block of Paula Lane: At 4:08 p.m. a victim reported that her child’s mountain bike was stolen from their yard. The bike was not secured and was on the ground beside the residence.

 

11/28 - Recover Stolen Vehicle (other agency) - 600 block of Tower Drive: At 2:44 p.m. an officer responded to an investigation. A trailer was located that had been reported stolen out of Grand Prairie. The trailer was impounded by the auto theft task force.

 

11/29 - Criminal Trespass - 600 block of Averett Road: At 12:24 a.m. officers responded to a report of a male suspect breaking into a vehicle. A homeowner stated that he looked outside of his home and saw an unknown suspect attempting to open his car door. When the homeowner yelled at the suspect he fled. The suspect was located by officers a short distance away. The suspect appeared disheveled and disoriented. He admitted to using methamphetamine within the last few hours. The suspect was taken into custody and transported to jail for booking on criminal trespass charges.

 

11/29 - Theft of Materials ALUM/BRNZ/COPPER/BRASS - 300 block of Bowles Court: At 2:50 p.m. a homeowner reported that the air conditioner unit had been stolen from his home. The central air unit was in place the last time the owner had looked at it. Replacement was set at $5,000.00.

 

11/29 - Abandoned Vehicle - 800 block of Valley Lane: At 8:40 a.m. an officer discovered a boat left on the side of the road. No owner could be contacted and the boat was impounded.

 

11/30 – Fraudulent Prescription - 300 block of W. Kennedale Parkway: At 2:01 p.m. an officer spoke by phone with a male who identified himself as a doctor. The doctor was concerned that one of his patients was involved in a scheme to pass fraudulent prescriptions for Oxycodone. It was discovered that a prescription had been passed at a local pharmacy but was written on another doctor’s pad. A female passed the prescription earlier in the day. Security video of the transaction was available. The case is being followed up by detectives.

 

12/01 - Incident - 6300 block of Treepoint Drive: At 4:03 p.m. an officer discovered a coin box in a car wash bay was open. The box still had the coins inside. The coins were counted and placed in property until the car wash owner can be contacted to pick up the money.

 

12/01 – Theft $100 to $750 - 4000 block of Kennedale New Hope Road: At 4:53 p.m. a victim reported that unknown person(s) had damaged some bird nest boxes on her property. Losses were placed at $300.00.
