12/16 - Driving While Intoxicated - 100 block of E. Kennedale Parkway: At 11:59 p.m. an officer stopped a vehicle for traffic violations. The adult female driver smelled of alcoholic beverage and appeared to be intoxicated. The driver was unable to successfully complete a field sobriety assessment. She was arrested and transported to jail for a voluntary blood draw as well as booking.

 

12/16 - Deadly Conduct Discharge Firearm - 700 block of W. Kennedale Parkway: At 10:04 a.m. a victim reported to police that unknown person(s) had fired a weapon into her mobile home. The victim reported that when she awoke from sleeping there were several bullet holes in her bed headboard. A neighbor reported seeing a vehicle at 3:10 a.m. and stated that someone inside the vehicle had fired at the home.

 

12/17 - Theft of Materials ALUM/BRNZ/COPPER/BRASS - 300 block of Bowles Court: At 9:05 a.m. a victim reported that person(s) unknown had removed copper parts from her home air conditioner condenser unit. The victim was not at the home when the theft occurred.

 

12/17 - Missing Person (Adult) - 300 block of S. New Hope Road: At 2:22 p.m. a complainant filed a missing person report on her adult granddaughter. The granddaughter had left home on 12/14/2018 and was going to another city in Texas to meet a male that she knew. The female had not been heard from since. The police of the city where the missing person was headed was contacted. They were familiar with the male and the address. They stated that they would check the location. Officers had not heard back from them at the time of the report.

 

12/17 - Animal Bite - 500 block of North Road: At 4:16 p.m. a juvenile victim reported being bitten by a neighbor’s pit bull dog. The dog made contact with the victim but the skin wasn’t broken. The owner and animal were located. Animal control will follow up.

 

12/18 - Application for Mental Detention & Observation - 900 block of Corry A. Edwards Drive: At 6:28 a.m. school officials notified a resource officer of a possible threat made by a student. The known suspect, who is a juvenile, has made threatening statements in the past. The student was brought in and interviewed by the resource officers. The student’s behavior and statements caused the officers to do an emergency mental detention and evaluation. The student’s parents were contacted to respond to the hospital.

 

12/18 - Assault by Threat - 700 block of W. Kennedale Parkway: At 7:23 p.m. officers responded to a report of a domestic disturbance. A female victim reported that her boyfriend had threatened her earlier. The boyfriend denied the allegation but would not give a written statement. The victim did write a statement and a citation was issued.

 

12/19 - Burglary - 6800 block of Oak Crest Drive E.: At 9:06 p.m. a victim reported that his business was burglarized. Unknown person(s) entered the business overnight and removed several hundred dollars in tools.

 

12/19 - Assault Bodily Injury (Family Violence) - 800 block of W. Kennedale Parkway: At 7:30 p.m. a female victim reported that she was assaulted by her boyfriend, who is a homeless male. The assault was the result of an argument the two were having. The victim was struck in the face by a closed fist. The suspect was not on scene when officers arrived.

 

12/20 - Possession Control Substance - 100 block of W. Kennedale Parkway: At 12:55 a.m. an officer stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. The adult female driver and her adult male passenger both smelled of marijuana. Both admitted to smoking the narcotic prior to the traffic stop. The female was also in possession of THC oil. She was arrested and transported to jail for booking.

 

12/20- Assault by Contact - 100 block of W. Kennedale Parkway: At 9:30 a.m. officers received a report of improper contact between a school district employee and a student. The employee was immediately removed from campus and a report was made.

 

12/20 - Missing Person (Adult) - 6400 block of Oak Crest Drive W.: At 8:12 p.m. an adult female reported that her mother was missing and had not been heard from in several days.

 

12/21 - Assault by Contact - 900 block of Wildcat Way: At 8:00 a.m. a school resource officer received a report of an assault by a student. A female student reported that a male student had walked up to her the day before and hugged her. During the hug the male suspect also caused offensive contact with the victim. The incident was observed on video.

 

12/21 - Assault by Contact - 500 block of North Road: At 5:30 p.m. a victim reported that her boyfriend had physically pushed her during an argument. The suspect was attempting to remove property when the assault occurred. The suspect also had several outstanding arrest warrants. He was taken into custody and transported to jail.

 

12/22 - Possession Control Substance - 1200 block of W. Kennedale Parkway: At 8:58 a.m. officers responded to a welfare check on an unconscious female. The female was in a parked vehicle and awoke when officers arrived. The female stated that she had been drinking during the night at a party and was trying to sober up. The female was found to be in possession of Hydrocodone pills for which she had no prescription. The female was arrested for the narcotics and several outstanding warrants. She was transported to jail for booking.

 

12/22 - Missing Person (Adult) - 700 block of W. Kennedale Parkway: At 4:07 p.m. an officer received a report of a missing adult male. The male had not been heard from for two days since leaving the house for a location in Dallas. A report was completed but the missing person arrived home two hours later. He had been at a friend’s home but could not call home.
