1/06 — Assault by Contact
200 block of Chapellet Street
At 12:36 a.m. an officer responded to a report of domestic abuse. A husband advised that his wife had assaulted him during an argument. The wife confirmed the assault but stated that it was necessary to get out of a threatening situation. The husband agreed to leave for the night and a report has been forwarded to investigators for follow-up.
1/06 — Theft under $100
100 block of W. Kennedale Parkway
At 9:45 a.m. an officer responded to a theft. A store employee and a witness both described a female suspect who left the store with several items that weren’t paid for. The suspect entered a black Chevrolet Camaro and left. The witness obtained a photo of the suspect and vehicle to provide police.
1/06 — Application for Mental Detention and Observation
900 block of Shady Oaks Drive
At 5:50 p.m. a female had contacted a crisis hotline in Fort Worth and made threats of suicide. Officers were given numerous addresses before locating the female at a relative’s residence. The female did admit to making the call and was taken into custody for an emergency mental detention and evaluation. She was transported to JPS Hospital by an officer.
1/07 — Incident
1000 block of Bowman Springs Road
At 3:38 a.m. an officer stopped a vehicle for traffic violations. The vehicle contained a male and two females. The male stated that he was driving from Georgia with the females and was meeting a friend at a Walmart parking lot. The male stated they were meeting his friend in order to obtain Texas driver's licenses for the females. The two females were legal immigrants who spoke no English. Using a language translation line, the officer determined that the females were told they would receive driver licenses if they came to Texas with the male. They did not say why they needed a Texas license if they were Georgia residents. The male was finally released after being identified fully and it was determined there was nothing to hold him on. DHS and the Joint Terrorism Task Force were both contacted about the situation. It was believed that the females may have been brought here as part of a human trafficking attempt. The females were detained by the officer until a women's shelter could be located to take them and help them return to Georgia. They were transported and released to a shelter the next morning in order to return home.

200 block of Mistletoe Drive
At 10:28 a.m. a victim reported that her adult son is threatening her over the use of a vehicle. The son has sent multiple threatening texts for several days, demanding that she return the vehicle.
1/07 — Criminal Mischief $100 to $750
500 block of N. Dick Price Road
At 8:08 p.m. a victim reported to police that her home had been broken into. The female stated that when she came home after being gone for several hours, an unknown person(s) had broken out a bedroom window and left the front and back doors open. Nothing was reported missing from the home. It is unknown why the suspect(s) entered the residence.
1/08 — Driving While Intoxicated
100 block of W. Kennedale Parkway
At 12:44 a.m. an officer observed a vehicle in a business parking area that had run up onto a curb and was stopped. The vehicle was running with a passed out female behind the steering wheel. The female was awakened and smelled of an alcoholic beverage. She was unable to successfully complete a field sobriety assessment. She was arrested for transport to jail for booking and a blood draw.

100 block of W. Kennedale Parkway
At 9:34 a.m. a business manager reported that an employee had charged several hundred dollars onto a gift card and left work. The offense occurred on 12/31/2018 and the employee never returned to work.

6700 block of Oak Crest Drive E.
At 10:20 a.m. a victim reported that a known male suspect had stolen two temporary license tags from the business. The suspect used the tags on a personal vehicle that was recorded driving on toll roads.
1/09 — Assault Bodily Injury
900 block of Wildcat Way
At 8:00 a.m. a school resource officer received a report of an assault at a school. The victim and suspect are both juveniles. Based on the information provided to the officer, a case will be referred to the juvenile justice center.
1/10 — Incident
800 block of Sublett Road
At 4:34 p.m. an officer responded to a call to assist another agency. An Arlington police officer had observed a vehicle in a traffic circle stop against a curb. The female driver appeared to be unconscious. The officer was unable to access the interior due to it being locked. The Kennedale Fire/Rescue responded and broke a rear window to access the vehicle interior. She was found to have diabetic supplies and may have had a diabetic episode. She was transported to Mansfield Methodist Hospital and her vehicle was impounded for safekeeping.
1/11 — Abandoned/ Found Property
3700 block of S. New Hope Road
At 3:53 p.m. an officer was contacted by a resident who stated that he found a wallet on the ground. The identification in the wallet had an address for the owner. Upon arriving at the residence, a female stated that the wallet belonged to a male who was at work in Dallas County. The male was contacted and did confirm the wallet was his. He was instructed on how to pick up the wallet and contents. It was placed in the property for safekeeping.
1/10 — Hit and Run Accident
300 block of Linda Road
At 8:52 p.m. officers responded to a hit and run accident. A Dodge pickup had left the roadway and struck a residence before backing away and leaving. The vehicle was located a short distance away and the driver, who was not present, later returned while officers were investigating. The driver was wanted on an active arrest warrant and was taken into custody. He was also charged with leaving the scene of the accident.
