2/4 - Burglary of Vehicle - 400 block of E. Kennedale Parkway: At 10:33 a.m. two victims reported that on February 2nd two unknown males had attempted to burglarize their business. Security video revealed that the two suspects entered the property in a vehicle and forced opened the hood of a parked vehicle. The suspects then moved to the business building and attempted to force open a door. They were unsuccessful in gaining entry to the business. The suspects then left the area.


2/4 - Missing Person (adult) - 200 block of S. Dick Price Road: At 10:02 a.m. an adult female was reported missing by a family member. The missing female had left home the evening before and not returned. A report was taken and the female was entered into the national database as missing. At 1:05 p.m. the female came to the police department to report that she was fine and had fallen asleep at a friend’s house the night before.


2/4 - Assault by Contact - 3700 block of Kennedale New Hope Road: At 7:21 p.m. a victim reported that a known male had created a disturbance while at the victim’s home. The suspect then fled the residence as police were called. Officers located the suspect a short distance away lying in a field. The victim stated that during an argument the suspect pushed him into a wall. The suspect was arrested for assault and transported to jail for booking.


2/5 - Application for Mental Detention and Observation - 1000 block of Kennedale Sublett Road: At 3:01 p.m. officers responded to a welfare check. A juvenile male had made threats to harm himself and the threats were reported to a counsellor who contacted police. The male was located and admitted to the making the statements. Based on the interview officers were concerned that the male needed to be evaluated by a doctor. The male was detained for an emergency mental evaluation. He was transported to JPS Hospital.


2/5 - Application for Mental Detention and Observation - 300 block of Pennsylvania Avenue: At 6:41 p.m. an officer responded to a report of a male juvenile threatening to harm himself. The male is a foster child and had been in trouble in school over the last couple of days. During a visit from his case worker the male became upset and obtained a cutting instrument from the kitchen. The male was detained and transported to JPS Hospital for an emergency mental evaluation.


2/6 - Abandoned Vehicle - 700 block of Shady Lane: On the listed date an officer was dispatched to a vehicle parked on a public roadway. The complainant stated that the vehicle had been parked at the location for several weeks. The vehicle owner was contacted and told that the vehicle needed to be removed within 72 hours. On 02/06/2019 the vehicle was still at the location and was impounded.


2/6 - Application for Mental Detention - 600 block of Fawn Meadow Trail: At 11:25 a.m. an officer responded to a report of a juvenile female threatening to harm herself. The female was located at the school office and was interviewed. She admitted to making the threats but didn’t know why. Based on her interview the officer believed her to be a danger to herself and detained her for an emergency mental evaluation. She was transported to Cook Children’s Hospital. Her parents were contacted and met her there.


2/6 - Assault Bodily Injury (Family Violence) - 1200 block W. Kennedale Parkway: At 7:04 p.m. officers responded to a domestic disturbance. A female victim reported that she met her ex-boyfriend to exchange their four year old son. The suspect became angry at the victim and slammed the driver side door on her left leg twice. The suspect left before officers arrived.


2/7 - Assault by Contact - 900 block of Wildcat Way: On the listed date a school resource officer was informed of an altercation between two students. The two male students had had words while off-campus at lunch and the disagreement continued when they arrived back at campus. The victim stated he was assaulted by the suspect as he (the victim) tried to exit his vehicle. The suspect was sent home by school staff. Upon his return several days later he was interviewed by the SRO and was issued a citation for the assault.


2/7 - Theft $750 to $2,500 - 1200 block of N. Little School Road: At 7:12 p.m. a victim reported to police that her cell phone was stolen by an unknown male customer at her place of business. The theft was captured on security video and was provided to police.


2/9 - Theft Under $100 - 400 block of Pennsylvania Avenue: At 11:08 a.m. a victim reported that an unknown female removed a package from his front porch. The package was a delivery for the victim. The female was observed on video stopping in front of the residence and removing the package before driving away.


2/9 - Burglary - 1300 block of Meadowview Drive: At 3:03 p.m. a victim reported that unknown person(s) broke a glass pane in his patio door and entered the home. Electronics and jewelry were removed.


2/9 - Incident - 400 block of Lone Oak Court: At 4:40 p.m. a complainant reported that his .38 caliber pistol was missing. The complainant stated that he took the weapon with him on vacation and doesn’t remember when he saw it last. The complainant believes it will turn up and wanted the police department to have a report in case it was found.
