2/17 - Possession Marijuana
5000 block of Treehollow Lane
At 1:16 a.m. officers observed a suspicious vehicle commit two traffic violations. Upon contacting the driver, an officer observed a trash bag filled with what appeared to be marijuana. The substance tested positive for marijuana and the driver, an adult male, was arrested. He was transported to jail for booking.
2/17 Theft $30,000 to $150,000
4300 block of S. Eden Road
At 5:21 p.m. a victim reported that his 2005 Chrysler 300 was taken by an employee of an auto repair shop. The victim had left the vehicle to be repaired. The employee had taken the car to pick up a part. For some unknown reason, the employee was refusing to bring the vehicle back. The vehicle was tracked to a location in Fort Worth but police there stated that they could not recover the vehicle until a stolen report was made out with Kennedale.
2/18 - Death Investigation
300 block of S. New Hope Road
At 1:12 p.m. officers responded to a deceased person report. An 81-year-old male was found deceased in his residence by a family member. The male had medical issues and a hospice nurse arrived on the scene shortly after officers.
2/18 - Application for Mental Detention and Observation
700 block of Woodland Court
At 12:26 p.m. officers responded to an adult male having a mental crisis. The male was having a manic episode and was suffering from paranoia. He was detained for an emergency mental evaluation and transported to JPS Hospital for treatment.
2/18 - Theft $100 to $750
1200 block of N. Little School Road
At 8:42 p.m. an officer responded to a report of a theft. A male suspect had entered a business and removed an electronic item. The suspect fled when the employee tried to complete the transaction.
2/19 - Assault Bodily Injury (Family Violence)
400 block of Susan Drive
At 11:26 p.m. officers responded to a domestic disturbance. A male and female were arguing over child visitation and other personal matters. The female claimed to have been assaulted by the male but witnesses at the scene refuted the accusation. There were no indications or injuries to the victim indicating an assault had occurred. The female victim left the residence for the night to prevent further violence.
2/19 - Incident (Other)
7000 block of E. Kennedale Parkway
At 7:26 p.m. officers responded to a juvenile in front of a closed business. The juvenile was located but could not provide his address in Arlington or a phone number for his mother. After contacting the junior high school resource officer, a number was located for the mother and an older brother. Both responded to the police department after multiple calls by the officers. CPS has been notified of the incident and will follow up.
2/22 - Burglary of Vehicle
700 block of W. Kennedale Parkway
At 11:00 p.m. an officer responded to a report of a vehicle burglary. Unknown person(s) had broken windows on two vehicles and taken bags that were left inside. The bags were found a short distance away with property missing. A witness provided a statement of a possible suspect on foot being accompanied by a second suspect in a vehicle.
2/23 - Aggravated Robbery (Firearm)
900 block of Sunrise Drive
At 8:33 p.m. officers responded to a report of an armed robbery. An adult female was robbed at gunpoint while getting out of her car in the garage of her residence. The victim believes that the suspects may have followed her for some distance previous to arriving at the residence. The suspects took personal property and fled in a small dark colored truck.
