2/25 - Possession Control Substance - 1200 block of W. Kennedale Parkway:
At 3:06 p.m. officers conducted a traffic stop for an equipment violation. A
warrant check on the lone occupant, an adult female driver, showed her to be
wanted by Arlington for two warrants. She was arrested and handcuffed for
transport. During a search incident to the arrest it was discovered that the
female was in possession of a bottle with Oxycodone tablets inside. The female
did not have a prescription for the narcotics. She was transported to jail for
booking.
2/25 - Application for Mental Detention and Observation - 1000 block of Chandler
Street: At 1:58 p.m. officers responded to an overdose call. An adult female
had intentionally ingested an overdose of a prescription medication. The female
received treatment at the scene and was taken into custody for an emergency
mental detention and evaluation. She was transported to JPS Hospital.
2/27 - Burglary of Building - 1100 block of Bowman Springs Road: At 2:08
a.m. officers responded to a burglary in progress at a business. An employee
had been sleeping inside the business when an unknown male suspect forced the
front door open and removed several items that were for sale. The offense was
captured on security video.
2/26 - Theft $100 to $750 - 900 block of Corry A. Edwards Drive: At 9:00
a.m. a school resource officer received a report of a stolen cell phone. A
student reported that his cell phone was taken from an unsecured locker during
his athletics class.
02/26 - Theft $100 to $750 - 900
block of Wildcat Way: A school resource officer received a report of a missing
Nintendo handheld game. The item was left unsecured in a backpack in the school
gym.
02/25 - Aggravated Assault (Serious
Bodily Injury) - 900 block of Wildcat Way: A school resource officer was
alerted to an emergency in a class room at the high school. Two female students
were observed fighting on the floor and were separated. One of the students had
to be transported to a hospital for treatment of head injuries. A case for
aggravated assault is being referred to the Juvenile Justice Center.
2/27 - Abandoned/ Found Property - 200 block of S. Kenny Street: At 10:57
a.m. a city employee found a bag of methamphetamine in the roadway. The item
was recovered and turned over to police for testing and processing.
3/01 - Assault Bodily Injury (Family Violence) - 700 block of Woodlea Lane:
At 2:38 a.m. officers responded to a domestic disturbance. An adult female
victim reported that her mother and she had been in argument earlier. The
mother allegedly struck the victim with an electrical cord. The victim did have
injuries consistent with her report.
2/28 - Theft $100 to $750 - 300 block of Linda Road: At 8:33 p.m. a victim
contacted police to report that several items were taken from his home. The victim
believes that the items were possibly taken by a family member.
3/02 - Possession Drug Paraphernalia - 6600
block of Oak Crest Drive: At 5:37 p.m. an officer stopped a vehicle for an equipment
violation. The driver had an outstanding arrest warrant from Mansfield and was
also in possession of narcotics paraphernalia. He was placed under arrest and
transported to jail for booking.
3/02 - Missing Persons (Juvenile) - 900 block of Wildcat Way: At 8:31 a.m.
an officer received a runaway report for a 14 year old male. The male was last
seen on the afternoon of the day before at Kennedale High School. The school
resource officer was familiar with the missing juvenile and assisted the
officer in finding a location for the juvenile. On arrival at the location in
Arlington, the missing juvenile had already left. He was entered as a runaway.
