6/2 — Fraudulent Use/Possession of Identifying Info
100 block of Briarwood Road
At 12:31 p.m. a victim reported that an unknown person(s) had opened an Internet account in her name with a communications company. The account was in the victim’s name but for an address in Fort Worth. The victim stated that a suspicious bank transaction was also identified and the bank account was then closed. The victim had no idea who could have committed the crimes.

6/2 — Theft $2,500 to $30,000
300 block of E. Kennedale Parkway
At 5:29 p.m. a victim contacted police to report that a former employee had taken a $5,000 piece of electronic equipment that belonged to the business. The victim stated that contact was made with the suspect via cell phone but the suspect refused to return the item.

6/3 — Credit/Debit Card Abuse
1100 block of Parkview Trail
At 3:41 p.m. a victim reported that an unknown person(s) had used the victim’s debit card number to purchase food from several fast-food restaurants. Charges totaled over $200.00.

6/4 — Recovered Stolen Vehicle (Other Agency)
600 block of E. Kennedale Parkway
At 10:05 a.m. an officer responded to a recovered stolen vehicle report. A local vehicle outfitter was attempting to temporarily register the vehicle but it was showing stolen from another county in Texas. The vehicle wasn’t stolen but had been repossessed several months back by the bank that held the lien. The shop personnel had all pertinent paperwork to prove the repossession. The listing police agency for the stolen vehicle was contacted and the vehicle was removed from the stolen database.

6/4 — Theft Under $100
1100 block of W. Kennedale Parkway
At 12:38 p.m. an officer responded to a report of an employee theft. The theft occurred on the day before the report was made.

6/4 — Assault by Contact
1300 block of Mountain View Lane
At 10:31 p.m. an officer responded to a disturbance. A female victim on the scene reported that her boyfriend had been verbally abusive to her earlier and had thrown a beverage in her face during a verbal altercation. The male left the scene and was not present when officers arrived.

6/4 — Theft $100 to $750
400 block of Averett Road
At 2:39 p.m. a victim reported that a known male suspect had assaulted him and taken his white Dodge Ram truck. The victim reported that he and several others were in the vehicle as he was taking the suspect home to Arlington. The suspect began arguing with another male in the vehicle and at one point the victim stopped. Several of the occupants got out and began fighting. The suspect was able to regain entry to the vehicle and drove away. While officers were gathering information, an uninvolved person came to the scene driving the victim’s vehicle. The suspect had driven to an address in Fort Worth and had asked the person to return the vehicle. An arrest warrant will be issued.

6/6 — Burglary
300 block of W. Kennedale Parkway
At 7:42 a.m. officers received a report of a business burglary. An unknown male broke the front door window of the business to gain entry. The window broke but only partially and entry was not successful. The offense was recorded on security video.

6/6 — Incident (Other)
400 block of Municipal Drive
At 9:51 a.m. a victim reported that he had given his debit card to his son to use. Later unknown persons assaulted his son in Fort Worth and had taken the victim’s debit card during the assault. Numerous purchases at businesses in Kennedale were made after the assault.

6/6 — Application for Mental Detention and Observation
1400 block of Derby Drive
At 3:58 p.m. officers responded to a report of a disturbance. An emotionally disturbed male juvenile was upset over a personal situation and was agitated. The juvenile had shoved a table in anger and knocked over a chair. After interviewing the juvenile officers determined that he was in need of emergency detention and mental evaluation. He was transported to JPS Hospital without incident.

6/7 — Duty of Striking Unattended Vehicle
300 block of Pennsylvania Avenue
At 3:13 a.m. officers responded to a hit and run accident. A driver had struck a parked vehicle and then left the scene on foot. Arlington was notified due to their city limits close proximity to the accident scene. Arlington officers later located the suspect in their city and placed him under arrest for evading detention or arrest. The suspect admitted to striking the parked vehicle and leaving the scene.

6/7  Recovered Stolen Vehicle (Other Agency)
4000 block of S. Eden Road
At 1:35 p.m. an officer was dispatched to a reported stolen vehicle recovery. A towing company had repossessed the vehicle in Burleson.
