6/09 — Recovered Stolen Vehicle (Other Agency)
700 block of W. Kennedale Parkway
At 11:35 p.m. an officer observed a white Ford F-350 truck parked at a closed business. Investigation revealed that the truck displayed a license plate that was reported stolen out of Parker County. The truck VIN showed that it was reported stolen out of Sansom Park. The vehicle and license plate were impounded. No one was present at the business location.
6/09 — Application for Mental Detention and Observation
800 block of Mansfield Cardinal Road
At 7:40 a.m. officers responded to a domestic disturbance. A male and female were arguing over the male’s erratic behavior when officers arrived. The male was having difficulty speaking and was acting in an erratic manner. Officers believed him to be under the influence of a narcotic and transported him to JPS Hospital for emergency detention and mental evaluation.
6/09 — Noise Complaint
6700 block of Hudson Village Creek Road
At 10:04 p.m. an officer responded to a report of loud noise at Kennedale Speedway Park. Sound readings revealed that the levels were within the tolerance listed under the nuisance ordinance.
6/10 — Possession Marijuana
100 block of W. Kennedale Parkway
At 4:15 p.m. officers responded to a suspicious person complaint. A male was located walking on the parkway. The male was holding a knife but put it in his pocket when confronted by officers. As the officers approached the male, he fled on foot and was taken into custody a short distance away. As officers caught up to the male and placed him on the ground, it was discovered that he was attempting to eat a baggie of marijuana. After being arrested for marijuana, the male was transported to jail for booking.
6/11 — Assault Bodily Injury (Family Violence)
500 block of North Road
At 10:05 p.m. officers responded to a fight complaint. Multiple male subjects were reported to be fighting in a private driveway. On arrival, the males were located and separated. The males were all related to each other and were fighting over a perceived slight on FaceBook. Officers were able to identify the primary aggressor who started the disturbance and transported him to jail.
6/11 — Credit/ Debit Card Abuse
500 block of North Road
At 10:45 a.m. a victim reported that unknown person(s) had made several unauthorized transactions on her debit card. The victim was able to name a suspect.
6/11 — Burglary of Vehicle
1200 block of W. Kennedale Parkway
At 7:10 a.m. a victim reported that she had property removed from her vehicle during an accident investigation. The victim believes that the property was removed by a male who stopped to check her welfare.
6/13 — Incident (Other)
1200 block of W. Kennedale Parkway
At 4:13 p.m. officers responded with the Fire Department to a vehicle fire. A Kia Sorento was found to be burning. After the fire was extinguished, the owner requested officers to call a tow truck. The vehicle was towed to a location selected by the owner.
6/14 — Criminal Mischief (Substantial Inconvenience)
200 block of S. New Hope Road
At 2:00 a.m. officers were investigating a complaint of two suspicious persons placing something on the railroad tracks. During this call it was discovered that unknown person(s) had damaged a summer Boy Scout encampment set up in Sonora Park. The camp director was notified.
6/15 — Abandoned/ Found Property
400 block of Municipal Drive
At 7:30 a.m. an officer discovered a wallet that had been left inside a patrol vehicle from an earlier courtesy transport. The officer was unable to contact the owner and the wallet was placed in property for safekeeping.
6/15 — Burglary of Vehicle
900 block of Harrison Drive
At 3:56 p.m. a victim reported that his Dodge Ram truck was burglarized overnight. The victim reported that he left a bass guitar and related equipment in the back seat of his vehicle. According to the victim, the vehicle was secured before the burglary and was still secured when the equipment was discovered missing. No evidence of forced entry was located on the vehicle.
