11/4 — Application for Mental Detention and Observation
1200 block of Elmbrook Drive
At 8:35 p.m. officers responded to a domestic disturbance. On arrival, it was discovered that an adult male was having a mental episode of some type, possibly due to drug use. Family members were on scene to provide background information. The male was detained for transport to JPS Hospital on an emergency mental detention and evaluation.
11/5 — Arson
100 block of Short Street
At 4:00 a.m. an officer on patrol observed a dumpster on fire behind a business. The fire department responded to extinguish the flames. Earlier in the shift, at 12:51 a.m., a caller notified dispatch of a dumpster fire in the Town Center development. That fire was also extinguished by fire department personnel. The caller in that report stated that a male and female were seen walking neat the dumpster before the fire.
11/5 — Drug Paraphernalia
700 block of E. Kennedale Parkway
At 6:30 a.m. officers responded to a disturbance. An adult male and female were arguing over the female using a vehicle. As the male stepped out of the vehicle in question, a methamphetamine pipe rolled out onto the ground. A subsequent search did not reveal any other paraphernalia or narcotics. The male was cited for the pipe and it was placed in evidence.
11/5 — Theft $750 to $2,500
900 block of Corry A. Edwards Drive
At 4:11 p.m. a victim reported that her son’s cell phone was taken while he was at school. The victim was able to locate the general vicinity of the phone before it was turned off.
11/4 — Assault on a Public Servant
100 block of W. Kennedale Parkway
At 3:20 p.m. officers responded to a combative student on a school campus. On arrival, a school resource officer joined a detective who had already arrived and had started attempting to de-escalate the student, who is a juvenile. It was reported that the student became upset and attempted to leave campus. When a staff member intervened to prevent the student from leaving, the student assaulted the staff member. The student was released to a foster parent. Charges will be referred to Tarrant County Juvenile Service.
11/6 — Abandoned/Found Property
900 block of Wildcat Way
At 10:54 a.m. a school resource officer was contacted by school staff at the high school. A bag of what was believed to be marijuana was found in a restroom on campus. The narcotic was placed in evidence for testing.
11/6 — Assault Bodily Injury (Family Violence)
500 block of North Road
At 9:02 p.m. officers responded to a domestic disturbance. A female victim reported that her male suspect boyfriend had assaulted her during an argument. During the argument, the suspect allegedly struck the victim as well as bit her, and attempted to hit her with a belt as she fled the residence. The suspect was located and placed under arrest for the assault. As officers walked him toward a patrol vehicle the suspect attempted to lunge at the victim to assault her again. The suspect was able to escape the patrol vehicle and elude officers while still handcuffed. He was not located but warrants will be issued for his arrest.

1100 block of Greenview Lane
At 19:35 a.m. a complainant contacted police about found narcotics. The complainant purchased a used appliance from a location in Dallas. The appliance needed some repair. When the unit was opened a bag of methamphetamine and two syringes were located inside. They were seized and placed into evidence.
11/8 — Sex Offenders (Duty to Register 10 years)
100 block of Caylebaite Street
On the listed date a detective was contacted by Tarrant County Community Supervision about a sex offender who has failed to register properly. The offender listed his parents’ home as his residence but he has not lived there for over a year.
11/8 — Assault Bodily Injury (Family Violence)
800 block of Trent Street
At 11:56 a.m. an officer responded to an assault complaint. An adult male stated that he had been asleep in his residence when a former girlfriend and a known male entered the residence and assaulted him. The victim did exhibit injuries consistent with his account of the assault.
11/8 — Assault Bodily Injury (Family Violence)
500 block of North Road
At 3:11 p.m. officers responded to a domestic disturbance. Two males were present on the officers’ arrival. One of the males stated that he had become angered and struck the other male from behind. The suspect was placed under arrest for the assault. The suspect and victim are roommates.
11/7 — Assault by Contact
400 block of W. Kennedale Parkway
An officer responded to a report of a reckless driver. A female victim was located and interviewed. The victim reported that the suspect had become angry while trying to exit I-20 because he could not get in front of the victim and her daughter. The suspect followed the two into Kennedale on Kennedale Parkway and threw an unknown object at the victim, hitting her in the face. The victim was frightened but not injured. The suspect pulled into a store and went in while the victim and her daughter pulled into the parking lot to video him. The suspect came out to yell at the two females and then left. The victim did get the suspect’s license plate and vehicle description.
11/7 — Emergency Detention Mental Application
500 block of North Road
At 5:09 p.m. officers responded to an emotionally disturbed child. A 10-year-old male was having a mental episode and was attempting to harm himself and family members. The child was taken into custody after he broke a window and attempted to cut himself with a glass shard. He was transported to Cooks Children’s Hospital for an emergency mental detention and evaluation.

1300 block of Mountain View Lane
At 11:25 p.m. officers responded to a domestic disturbance. A juvenile male was upset over a missing cell phone and was acting erratically. The juvenile threatened his foster parents and officers determined he was a threat to family members. The juvenile was transported to JPS Hospital for an emergency mental detention and evaluation.
11/9 — Hit and Run Accident
300 block of S. Dick Price Road
At 1:30 p.m. officers were investigating a possible assault involving a green Lincoln. A male was reported to have pulled a female into the vehicle and drive away. During the investigation, an officer drove the area to look for the vehicle. He was flagged down by a motorist who reported a hit and run accident involving a green Lincoln. The victim stated that a green Lincoln pulled to the side of the road and stopped. As the victim moved to pass the Lincoln it accelerated to make a wide left turn, striking the victim’s vehicle on the passenger side. The vehicle then drove off west bound on Kennedale-Burleson-Everman Road.
