12/22 — Driving While Intoxicated
6200 block of Pennsylvania Avenue
At 1:41 a.m. officers stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. The adult male driver appeared to be under the influence of alcohol or a narcotic. The driver was unable to successfully complete a field sobriety assessment. He was arrested and transported to jail for a voluntary blood draw and booking.
12/22 — Application for Mental Detention and Observation
100 block of Pine Meadow Drive
At 4:10 p.m. officers responded to a fight call. On arrival a juvenile male was reported to have been threatening to commit suicide. Two adults on scene heard the threats. The juvenile admitted to officers that he made the statement due to a family issue. The juvenile was transported to JPS Hospital for an emergency detention and evaluation.
12/24 — Theft $2,500 to $30,000
6300 block of Tealpond Drive
100 block of Pine Meadow Drive: At 4:02 a.m. officers were dispatched to a residence on a stolen vehicle report. The vehicle was stopped and identified as stolen by Mansfield police earlier in the shift. The owner was unaware that the vehicle was taken. The owner was placed in contact with Mansfield police after a report was generated.
12/25 — Assault by Contact- Family
400 block of 4th Street
At 7:45 p.m. officers responded to a domestic disturbance. A husband and wife were arguing over their impending divorce proceedings. The husband pushed his wife out of the front door, causing her to fall onto the ground. The female was not injured other than a small scrape. She refused a response by medics. The male was issued a citation for Assault by Contact. The female left the residence.
12/26 — Fail to Identify/Giving False/Fictitious Info
5200 block of Mansfield Highway
At 3:34 a.m. officers were dispatched to a suspicious vehicle at a closed business. As the officers arrived, the vehicle left the location, driving into Forest Hill. Upon stopping the vehicle, the officer identified the adult male driver and his adult female passenger. The female passenger gave a name and date of birth for a 71-year-old female but she did not appear to be that age. The officers located marijuana in plain view on the female’s person and paraphernalia in the vehicle in the passenger door. During the interview, the female refused to give a correct name and date of birth. The officers were able to get her actual name and her identity was confirmed through a driver’s license photo sent to the patrol unit’s mobile computer. The female was arrested and transported to jail for booking. The contraband was entered into evidence.
12/24 — Theft $750 to $2,500
200 block of Village Street
At 11:53 a.m. an officer received a report of stolen batteries from a gas well site. Several pieces of equipment were damaged as well.
12/27 — Abandoned/Found Property
600 block of Fawn Meadow Trail
At 3:40 p.m. officers responded to a report of found vehicle keys. The keys were found in Rogers Farm Park. Officers attempted to locate the vehicle in the neighborhood using the key fob but were unsuccessful. The keys were placed in property for safekeeping.
