12/29 — Criminal Trespass
100 block of Pine Meadow Drive
At 10:15 a.m. officers responded to a report of a disturbance. A female reported that she was awakened by a noise and found a known male entering her residence through a front door. The female stated that she wanted to file criminal trespass charges.
12/19 — Incident
100 block of Peachtree Court
At 3:42 officers were contacted by a male who was concerned about his child custody arrangement with his ex-wife. The complainant advised that they share joint custody of the children but he is concerned that the children have been taken out of the country. Officers attempted to contact the ex-wife at the address the complainant provided. Police there stated that the address was located on a nearby military base. Military police were contacted to do a welfare check but had not called back at the time of the report. The complainant was referred back to his family court for enforcement of the civil custody order.
12/30 — Driving While Intoxicated
600 block of E. Kennedale Parkway
At 1:58 a.m. an officer stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation and erratic driving. The adult male driver exhibited signs of intoxication. He was unable to successfully complete a field sobriety assessment. The driver was arrested for DWI. He was transported to jail for a voluntary blood draw and booking.
12/30 — Burglary of Vehicle
1100 block of N. Little School Road
At 8:13 a.m. an officer responded to a complaint of a gas theft. A victim reported that unknown suspect(s) siphoned approximately $15.00 in gas from her blue Chevrolet Express. The hose was still in the tank when the victim arrived for work.
12/31 — Theft $2,500 to $30,000
100 block of Oakwood Lane
At 8:14 a.m. an officer responded to a stolen vehicle report. The vehicle, a 2017 Chevrolet, was taken from the victim’s driveway during the overnight hours. The victim checked with her bank to confirm that the vehicle was not repossessed and then contacted police. An auto theft task force investigator responded to speak with the victim. Upon discovering that the vehicle was equipped with OnStar they were contacted to activate the GPS system. OnStar was unable to activate at the time but advised that they would monitor the vehicle until they received a signal.
1/01 — Narcotic Violation
5300 block of Mansfield Highway
At 11:59 p.m. an officer stopped a vehicle for an equipment violation. The officer smelled marijuana coming from the vehicle. He located several items in the vehicle used in the smoking of marijuana. The driver was cited and released. The contraband was placed into evidence.
1/01 — Burglary of Vehicle
100 block of Peachtree Court
At 9:15 a.m. a victim reported that her 2017 Mercedes was entered during the overnight hours. The victim reported locking the vehicle but no signs of forced entry were observed. Personal items valued at $90.98 were removed from the vehicle.
1/01 — Application for Mental Detention and Observation
400 block of Gail Drive
At 1:07 a.m. officers responded to a domestic disturbance. On arrival officers determined that a husband and wife had had an argument and the husband had threatened to harm himself with a folding knife. The husband admitted to officers that he did want to harm himself with the knife. The husband was taken into custody for an emergency mental detention and evaluation. He was transported to JPS Hospital without incident.
1/02 — Recovered Stolen Vehicle (Tarrant County)
4400 block of Danny Drive
At 11:27 a.m. auto theft investigators were called to assist Tarrant County S.O. with a stolen vehicle recovery. The vehicle was stolen from a residence in unincorporated Tarrant County on New Hope Road. The owner saw the vehicle drive away and gave chase, locating it on Danny Drive. The vehicle was parked at a private residence, which was locked. No one answered the door. The stolen vehicle was turned over to the owner. Investigators will follow up later.
1/02 — Theft $100 to $750
900 block of Harrison Drive
At 1:25 p.m. an officer responded to a theft in progress. On arrival, the officer located two adult males with a large amount of lumber in the back of a truck. The males stated that they had permission from a female to remove the items. A call to the female in question and to the listed property owner on the city permit revealed that the males did not have permission to remove any lumber from the site, which is a house under construction. The males were arrested for theft and outstanding warrants from other agencies. The vehicle was impounded.
1/03 — Abandoned/Found Property
700 block of W. Kennedale Parkway
At 8:58 p.m. officers responded to a suspicious vehicle. The vehicle and occupant were located. Officer could smell marijuana in the vehicle but no contraband was located. The male left the scene after being released but failed to retrieve his pocket knife. The knife was placed in property until the male could be contacted to pick it up.
1/04 — Incident
500 block of North Road
At 3:10 p.m. officers responded to a heroin overdose. A male in obvious distress was located at the residence and appeared to be unable to breathe. One of the officers administered a dose of Narcan to the subject in order to counter the overdose. Medics arrived and transported the male to a local hospital.
