[ARCHIVED] Police Reports: 01/26/20 – 01/31/20

Police Reports

1/26 — Criminal Mischief Under $100
600 block of E. Kennedale Parkway
A day shift officer responded to a report of threats made. On arrival, a male victim reported that he had been threatened by a known suspect from an incident that occurred the day before. The victim stated that the suspect came to the victim’s home and damaged his 2008 Cadillac by breaking out a window. The suspect has also threatened the victim via text message.

1/27 — Drugs/ Narcotics
6800 block of Oak Crest Drive
At 10:26 p.m. an officer stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. Upon approaching the vehicle the officer observed a small bag of what appeared to be marijuana in the front floorboard. Also located in the vehicle were several bags of “edibles” containing marijuana. The contraband was seized to be sent to the lab for a THC analysis.

1/27 — Theft $100 to $750
900 block of Wildcat Way
The high school resource officer was contacted by a staff member in regards to a theft that occurred on school grounds. A student reported the theft of cash and Airpods earphones. The theft was committed by a possible known suspect.

1/29 — Incident
1000 block of Bowman Springs Road
At 12:06 a.m. an officer was contacted regarding a threat made via social media toward a student at a local private school. The threat was over a negative comment posted on the same social media site. The school director asked for and was given extra patrol presence the next morning to ensure that the campus was secure.

1/29 — Aggravated Assault (Family Member)
600 block of E. Kennedale Parkway
At 4:44 p.m. officers responded to a report of a domestic disturbance that occurred two hours earlier. A male and female who are cohabitating had gotten into an argument and there was reported physical violence that occurred. Due to the time lapse and the fact that one of the parties left the scene, it was not possible for officers to determine who was a primary aggressor. At least one party to the altercation was giving inconsistent stories as to what actually happened. The parties involved are known to officers from previous incidents involving physical violence and verbal altercations. The case will be followed up by investigators.

1/31 — Burglary
400 block of Pennsylvania Avenue
At 4:46 p.m. an officer received a report of a security video recording a theft. The video showed three suspects enter a garage across the street and remove two bicycles. Two of the suspects were identifiable by name.

NOTE: The above items are based on police reports. They do not include calls for which no report was written, and some of these offenses — after further investigation — may be deemed unfounded. Therefore, this data should not be viewed as or used to calculate official statistics.
