5/6 — Driving While Intoxicated
700 block of W. Kennedale Parkway
At 7:27 p.m. an officer stopped a vehicle for multiple traffic violations. The vehicle, a white Mazda sedan, was driven by an adult female. The driver smelled of an alcoholic beverage and appeared to be intoxicated. She was unable to successfully complete a field sobriety assessment. The female was placed under arrest for DWI. She was transported to Mansfield Methodist Hospital for a blood draw and then to jail for booking.
5/7 — Assault Bodily Injury (Family Violence), Application for Mental Detention and Observation
600 block of E. Kennedale Parkway
At 2:30 p.m. officers responded to an assault with injuries. A pregnant female victim was assaulted by a male suspect during an altercation, causing injury to her hip and leg. After being arrested the suspect made several remarks threatening suicide. He was taken to JPS Hospital for an emergency mental detention and evaluation. The assault charge is pending his release from the hospital.
5/8 — Criminal Mischief $100 to$750
6900 block of Eden Tap Road
At 7:30 a.m. a victim reported that unknown person(s) had damaged a home under construction. Nothing was taken from the site.
5/8 — Criminal Mischief $750 to $2,500, Recovered Stolen Vehicle (Other Agency)
1300 block of Mountain View Lane
At 5:18 a.m. officers responded to a report of shots fired. On arrival officers located a parked vehicle that had multiple gunshot holes in it. Officers were able to access security videos of neighbors and observed a sport utility vehicle and pick-up truck enter the neighborhood. The truck left a short time later and shots were fired from the interior as it passed the parked vehicle. A search of the area revealed that the SUV was left abandoned and was reported stolen out of Arlington. The vehicle was recovered for APD and impounded.
